Part 9 & 10

Part 9
A beautiful morning, but not for Khanak, she had not slept whole night, she had spent whole night in thinking whether she had done good with Shaan or not, her head is aching like hell, she is already frustrated, she get summons to meet Dr. Lata. Khanak had asked Lata for some senior guidance in her studies and also in presentation. Khanak wished that Dr. Lata would help her, as she was the seniormost. She enters her cabin by knocking.
Khanak: Good morning mam (she enters in, she can see a peson sitting, his back is seen)
Lata: come in Khanak (khanak comes in but still can't recognize the person)
Khanak: sorry mam for disturbing, but I just wanted to ask about our yesterday's call..
Lata: yes khanak, uske bare mein baat karne ke liye toh tumhe bulaaya hai, come sit down.
Now is the time, she sits down  and sees the person, who is grinning at her. She is shocked to see the person, its Shaan, but she manages as she's sitting in front of senior doctor. Shaan is enjoying her uncomfotableness, as they both are sitting close but not that close enough.
Shaan: Hello Dr. Khanak (with a smile)
Khanak can't help she just tries to be normal, Hello…. Dr. Shaan.
Lata: So Khanak, is it ok if Dr. Shaan guides you??
Khanak's eyes flee in shock to Dr. Lata. Here she's tryig to move away from him, but….
Khanak: but mam isn't Dr. Shaan is busy with his own schedule (trying her chance once again)
Shaan: no Dr. Khanak, im ready to spend my afternoons with you (looking at her) I mean by guiding you (looking at Lata)
Lata: so khanak its done, I've to rush now, Dr. Shaan is  there now, what say Dr. Shaan?? (she gets up, even Khanak and Shaan gets up)
Shaan: yes Dr. Lata, forever (looking at khanak)
Lata leaves her cabin, Khanak is dumbstruck, she is starring at the closed door. Shaan comes near her…
Shaan: toh chalein, Dr. Khanak (bending down)
Khanak raises her head, WHERE????
Shaan (smiles broadly) my cabin…
They both leaves and they enters his cabin. He makes her sit first and then sits next to her. At first to ease her, he talks about what she needs, now she appears comfortable and is talking to him freely but she is keen on his words makes some notes in her laptop, at that Shaan gets time to steal glances on her. He's watching her, her hair is flying in the hair, he's once again mesmerized by her simplicity and her innocence… He has a smile on his face, when she notices that he's not talking, she turns towards him, she sees that he's looking at her, she's shy, she tucks her errant curl behind her ear, she clears her throat and stares back at the screen. Shaan comes to the world, rubs his hair with his hands, ruffling it.
Shaan: so everything done??
Khanak: yeah, thanks (smiles at him and starts packing her stuff)
Shaan: Khanak, are you free in afternoon???
Khanak: not sure, but why???
Shaan: maine socha ki, can we have lunch together???
Khanak: I don't think so, sorry but I had promised Raj, that I'll be accompanying him.
Shaan(frustrated) : Raj!! (gets up) how can I forget him(shakes his head)
Khanak: im sorry, lekin…
Shaan: no Khanak, tum mere liye tumhari date thodi na thodogi (anger raising)
Now its Khanak's turn to get even more frustrated, her morning headache is back.She is furious.
Khanak: thanks for understanding Dr. Shaan (sarcastic) I think I should leave now (furiously leaves the room)
Shaan can't believe her, I can't believe this, mujhe uspe ghussa hona hai, lekin nahi, balki madam mujhse gussa hoke gayi hai, ggirlsss… He had actually called Dr.Lata and had indirectly asked her whether he can help Khanak, as he had heard her conversation. She was at first surprised, then she had agreed.He cools himself down after sometime, talks to himself. Lekin yaar, I shouldn't have spoke to her like that, she has cleared it to me, that she and Raj are friends, but what's the need to go lunch with him? Chal beta Shaan lagtha hai sorry bholna padega. But before he could her, he's summoned to OT.
Khanak is furious, while walking in the corridors, I wanted to tell him, that mein aur raj are going to attend a conference in college, which they had to attend, lekin nahi, uuggghhh!!! This is so bad…             She just leaves from there.
When Shaan is done, its already half past 2, he asks about Khanak in the reception, he gets to know that all post graduates have gone to their college to attend the conference. He feels sorry for her. He dials her number, but the phone is switched off. He leaves the hospital.   
After her conference, she picks up Aayush from his friend's house, she thanks them. She's late to Shaan's house. Aayush had got freshen up and changed to his homely clothes, Khanak is still in her chudidhar.vShe had driven her car, Aayush's talk had made her calm, and laugh heartily for the first time in the whole day.
They reach Khandelwal's house, she rings the bell, Harilal opens it(servant, she had met him yesterday) she smiles at him.
Khanak: Madhvi aunty nahi hai??
Harilal: jee who… Suddenly they can hear an old lady's voice….
She turns around to see, she can see an old lady, Khanak wonders, Madhvi comes at that moment
Madhvi: Khanak, Aayush andar aao (turns to old lady) mom yeh Khanak hai, maine aapko bataayatha na.
Old lady: ooh haan, Khanak, idhar aao beta kitnaa pyaara naam hai aapka.
Khanak is wondering, she looks at Madhvi.
Madhvi: Khanak, yeh shaan ki dadi hai. (smiles sweetly)
Khanak does a Namaste, Aayush runs near dadi, aap Shaan uncle ke dadi ho, kya main aapko dadi bhula saktha hun?? (asks sweetly)
Dadi: zaroor beta (makes him sit next to her) aap Aayush ho na, kitna pyaara bachcha hai, haina Madhvi?
Madhvi smiles and nods. Khanak seats herself next to Aayush.
Khanak: lekin aap toh kal aanewale the na??
Dadi: haan beta, humne socha inko surprise karthe hai, yaha aakar pata chala ki Madhvi was planning a surprise party (smiles sweetly) aur Khanak beta tum bhi mujhe dadi keh sakthi ho!!
Khanak: jee dadi (smiles sweetly) aunty (to Madhvi) aapka bada beta bi aagaya??
Madhvi: haan Khanak, they have also come, they are resting in their room
They are talking freely….

Part 10
Khanak has mingled into Shaan's family as though its her family. Now Khushboo and Akshay, even Sunil also have joined, all are happily talking; Khanak is free in calling Akshay as Bhaiya and Khushboo as bhabhi. Aayush is enjoying the attention he's receiving from this family. Now he's happily sitting on Akshay's lap and he is playing with his phone.
Khushboo: mom hum log ye parties kar kar ke bore hogaye hai (with a disgusted expression), mom iss baar hum kuch alag karthe hai na (excited)
Madhvi: lekin kya beta?? (thinking)
Khanak: bhabhi I think you should spend time with whole family, u know talking or playing something (smiling)
Khushboo: nice idea Khanak,wait kuch sochthi hun!!
Khanak: I think I should leave now (readies to leave)
Dadi: Khanak beta itni jaldi, Shaan ko tho aane do aur aah aaj toh tum dinner kaake jaogi
Khanak: no dadi, bahut late ho gaya hai, waise bhi kal Aayush ko school bi jaldi jaana hoga'
Madhvi: lekin Khanak kal bhi tumne hamare saath khaana nahi khaya'
All are forcing her to stay even Akshay and Sunil'
Khanak: ok I'll stay but not today, I promise I'll come back on Friday and stay till you say to leave me. (promises)
Khushboo: pakka you'll come on Friday then???
Khanak: haan pakka (smiles) chalo Aayush chalte hain (Aayush gets up and holds her hand to leave)
She bids bye to everyone and hugs Khushboo and Madhvi, takes ashirvad from dadi and leaves with Aayush promising that she'll be back on Friday .
Shaan enters his house, its quite late and extremely exhausted. He sits in living hall, asks Haeilal for water. Someone holds the glass of water, he receives it without seeing the person. He opens his eyes to keep the glass back, his face brokes into surprised expression and a broad smile on his face.
Shaan: dadi!!!  (screams, gets up and hug her) aap kab aaye, I miseed you (still hugging)
Dadi: jhooote, agar itna yaad aa raha tha, toh call kyun nahi kiya (releases herself from hug)
Shaan: sorry dadi thoda busy tha
 Dadi: kaam kein ya phir???? (with a devilish glee)
Shaan: dadi aap bhi na (shakes his head)
Dadi: waise Khanak bahut achchi hai, mujhe toh bahut achchi lagi (smiles)
Shaan is surprised, aap kab mile Khanak se???
Dadi: aaj aayi thin a, ghar par
Shaan: who aayi thi, mujhe toh laga, she won't be coming today, after what I said her (feels sorry)
Dadi: kya hua?? Tum dono ne jagda kiya??
Shaan: actually maine, waise Bhaiyya bhabhi kaha hai??
They talk like that for few more time, as he loves her the most. And dadi tells him that he should call her and tell her sorry. Shaan agrees and enters his room. He takes his phone, it rings and picks'
Shaan: Hello??
From the receiver: hello, this Aayush here, Mom, mera matlab Dr. Khanak, is busy in cooking, aapko job hi kehna hai na, aap mujhse keh sakthe hai
Shaan (smiles) : Aayush!! Kya kar rahe ho??
Aayush: Shaan uncle (excited) aapko mom se baat karni hai, ek minute (runs to her, she's in the kitchen, her hand is full with aata, Aayush silently keeps the phone in between her ear and shoulder,
Khanak: Aayush, kaun hai (he runs from there) Hello?? (into the phone)
Shaan: haaye, afternoon se wait kar raha hoon, ek call nahi kar sakthi thi
Khanak: Dr. Shaantanu Khandelwal, arr kohi aapke tarah free nahi hote hain, call kyun kiya?? (still angry)
Shaan: abhi tak ghussa ho?? Im really sorry Khanak, believe me im holding my ears
Khanak suppresses her giggle, she had actually forgotten about the whole incident.
Khanak: hogaya ab main rako???
Shaan: Khanak please, I told sorry na, mujhe pata hai kit um mujhe maaf kar chuki hon, lekin phir bhi, naatak kar rahi ho (smiles)
Khanak smiles but doesn't argue, Shaan understands'
Shaan: waise kya bana rahi ho???
Khanak: parantha (blurts out)
Shaan: achcha toh main aaja hun??
Khanak: nahi!! (yells)
Shaan: kyun?? I really want to know ki tum kaise khaana pakkati ho, I mean I wanted to taste it
Khanak: haan zaroor khilaongi, lekin aaj nahi
Shaan: then I've to wait (mock upset) I hate waiting Khanak
Khanak: aapka hogaya ho tho, main rakoon, mujhe bahut kaam hain.
Shaan: why?? Don't have you have a maid to do these work???
Khanak: no actually, I didn't wanted one, itna kaam nahi hota hai, bus do log hi toh hain, aur ghar bhi itna bada nahi hai
Shaan: mujhe kaise pata hoga?? Tumne kabhi mujhe bhulaya nahi, tumhaare ghar
Khanak: haan bulalungi, abhi time hain, waise maine aapko abhi tak maaf nahi kiya hai
Shaan: Khanak, come on, hum dono jaante hai, ki tumne uss baat ko kab ki bhool chuki hon
Both silently smile, she suddenly realizes that, she's suppose to avoids him, she becomes suddenly silent. Shaan senses that.
Shaan: kya hua?? Tum suddenly itna silent hojathi ho, uss din bhi, I seriously didn't understand ki tum kya kehna chathi thi?? (confused)
Khanak: Shaan I've to go, im sorry (she cuts off the call, she's sad)
Shaan is shocked at her sudden change, he can't think further, he's upset, but he decides to ask from dadi, what to do with it' He's worried for her, as he had heard sadness in her voice...

Part 8

Part 8
Shaan is wearing his vest and a track pant, towel around his neck, drying his hair from one hand. He can hear a girl's sweet voice, he raises his head to see, and he sees the back of a girl, whose long hair is teasing back of her kurta. He is shocked to see her in his room but at the same time happy, that she wouldn't be able to avoid him now…
He just leans on the wall beside the door, arms folded across his chest, he's smiling. She's still on the phone; she ends the conversation and cuts the call.
Khanak: Aayush (turns around)   She is shocked to see him there, her eyes wideopened.
Shaan: Hello Khanak (with a mischievous look)
Khanak: aap?? Aayush kaha hai??
Now she looks at the room, she takes in the huge bed, comfortable couch, the glass table everything, including Shaan's photo on the bedside table. The room is elegant and beautiful, she shakes her head as the realization hits her. She realizes that its his room, as the photo and the things thrown around tells her that it's a man's room…
Khanak: im so sorry, I tkink I entered into a wrong room (looking downwards)
Shaan: I don't think so Khanak (he's smiling)
Khanak's eye flee towards him in shock. She starts pulling the edge of kurta and crushes it. Shaan sees her nervousness, he's enjoying it, he slowly puts his hands in his pockets and starts moving towards her.
Khanak: I think I should leave now (she starts moving towards the door, but shaan comes in front of her, she stops in her track, both of them are about 3 feet away)
Shaan: Khanak!! (bending down, as she is looking downwards)
Shaan: Khanak what's the problem??? Why are you avoiding me?? (worried but softly)
Khanak (takes a long breath) : nahi, aisa kuch nahi hai, shaayad aapko galatfami hogayi hai (looking towards the door, which is open)
Shaan: agar aisa hai, toh why are you not looking at me and why are you not talking to me??
Khanak (she can hear his voice, which sounded like he was worried) : I should leave now (tries to pass beside him)
But once again she's stopped by Shaan, but this time he holds her hand as she passes beside him. He's facing inside of the room and she outside…
She wasn't expecting this, her heart is beating as fast as it can, time is like as though its stopped. She closes her eyes. His hold is tight and firm, her hand is soft and cool, but no time to appreciate it…She turns around and looks at his hand holding her hand. Shaan looks at her aand sees the hand and releases her hand from his tight grip.
Shaan: im sorry Khanak, please talk to me!
Khanak: its ok (holds her hand, she looks at him finally, Shaan is relieved that atleast she looked at him)
Khanak: shaan I think I need some time…
Shaan is confused, he's about to ask WHAT??? But Aayush comes in, he's in the towel
Aayush: Mom, aap yahan ho, where's my clothes???
She hands him his clothes which she had kept it on the bed.Aayush takes it from her and leaves from there. Khanak's back is at him
Khanak: im sorry Shaan if I've hurted you (concerned) She doesn't wait for him to respond, she had walked out. Shaan is extremely confused and upset…
Khanak is in the living hall with his parents. Sunil had returned from work. She had composed herself after those words with Shaan, she didn't wanted to do that, but Shaan had left no choice for her. If he had given her some time, may be she would have behaved normal. She had seen his eyes sparkle when he had seen her, she didn't wanted to take it further.
She's talking normally with Sunil and Madhvi. Sunil is talking to Aayush, who is sitting between Sunil and Madhvi. They are having their coffee or tea and Aayush is having his milk. Shaan comes out of the room wearing T-shirt and sits opposite to Khanak. He can see her, he tries to read her face, he was confused what she had told, but with her intentions it was clear that she's avoiding him, and he had felt her body tremble when he had held his hand. Her hand was small and soft like a butter. He looked at his hand, which had held it, he had enjoyed the touch, but Khanak was moving far from him, why she was doing that?? He had no idea. Yesterday when he had met her, she was normal and also she had shown signs but what had happen in a single night…
He was disturbed when he heard that they were leaving. They both had bid bye to his parents, Aayush had said bye to him ,Khanak did not…
Shaan in his room, he's thinking, he had never felt like this for a girl, but he wanted to know her from in and out, what she would do in her free time, everything about her, her likes dislikes everything, but she's running away. He thinks for a moment, something flashes him, he suddenly smiles and rubs his hands..
Shaan (to himself) : ab dekthe hai Dr. Khanak Mishra, how will you avoid me (his tongue pressing against cheek)
He takes his phone and calls….  

Part 7

Part 7
A casual Monday morning, Shaan's morning is wonderful, as he knows his destiny… Shaan is present in the lobby, Dr. Lata is also present, she's telling him to look over on an operation, which she was suppose to do. Shaan taking it casually, Dr. Raj and Dr.Khanak enters. She's just avoiding to look towards Shaan, but Shaan is starring at her. Khanak was suppose to assist Dr.Lata in operation but now…
Shaan: so Dr.Lata, Dr. Khanak is assisting me?? (with a sweet smile)
Lata: Sorry Dr. Shaan, Dr. Khanak is not assisting you, she wanted duty in ICU, so she's heading to ICU, don't worry Dr.Raj is going to assist you
Shaan is confused, looks towards Khanak, she's busy into the file, he's about to ask why?? But…
Khanak: So can I go?? (to Lata)
Lata: Sure Khanak, koi bi problem ho call me…
Khanak smiles, nods and leaves. Shaan thinks that she may turn around to look at him, but she doesn't…
She's standing in front of huge door with Aayush, both of them had changed, she's wearing a white kurta on jeans and a scarf around her neck. Aayush is wearing a cargo pant and a T-shirt…
Madhvi had called her in the afternoon, he couldn't tell her no, but she had told her that she'll be leaving early. Madhvi had agreed reluctantly. Aayush was more excited, she rang the bell, hoping that Shaan wouldn't be at home but….The door opened and there stood a handsome hunk and that's Shaan…. He's broadly smiling, Aayush is happy to see him, Khanak is in shock, her eyes wideopened.
Shaan: Hey Aayush (looking towards Khanak) lifts him in his arms
Aayush: Hello uncle, mom keh rahi thi ki aap nahi honge.
Shaan: achcha, aise kaise ho saktha hai, ki mein aapse na miloon (looking towards Khanak) Khanak is just standing looking at her feet. They enter in. Khanak looks around the house, she has a smile on her face.
Khanak: nice house (with a smile, looking around)
Shaan: Thanks (looking at her) Khanak remembers her reason of coming, she is silent.
Khanak: Madhvi aunty nahi hai?? (looking everywhere but not at him)
Shaan: mom pool ke paas hai, she wants you there, so chalein???
Khanak: Sure… They move towards the pool wordlessly, she's admiring the house, Aayush is still in Shaan's arms. Shaan is leading the way, by now he has felt that she was avoiding him, he just wanted to know the reason behind it…Madhvi is talking with some people animatedly.
Khanak: Hello aunty (with a smile)
Madhvi: Khanak!! Thanks beta for coming, aur woh bhi right time mein (hugs her, Khanak hugs back)
Aayush not to be left behind, screams Hello aunty!!! (to madhvi)
Madhvi: Hello Aayush, school hogaya, aapne kuch khaaya?? (asks sweetly)
Aayush: haan mom ne khilaya (smiles) aunty can I swim??
Khanak: no Aayush…
Madhvi: arrey Khanak rehne do, ofcourse beta u can!! Aapko swimming aati hain??
Aayush: nahi, if you have the tube I can manage!!
Madhvi: ok, lekin aap akele pool mein nahi utroge, Shaan beta help him
Shaan: sure mom, chalo Aayush. Both of them remove their shirts and jumps into the pool, Aayush is having great time with Shaan in the pool…
Madhvi: chalo Khanak, hum party ke arrangements deklethe hain!! Both of them are looking at catalogues for arrangements, in the meanwhile, Khanak keeps on glancing at Aayush, couldn't help but smile at the duo. Madhvi watches that, but remains quiet.
Shaan is also having great time with the kid, he had skipped going to clinic, to just meet Khanak, because she had not spoke to him directly the whole day It was like she's running from him, but he wanted to know the reason. There he was, wanting to know the reason, he had never done this for a girl sake, but now he was changing, but he believed that this change was for good, but now he was concentrating on Aayush, as he liked his company also….
Khanak: Aayush bahut ho gaya ab chalo, bahar aajao, otherwise you'll get cold
Aayush refuses to come out, Khanak: Aayush (sternly)
Aayush: OK (with a sad face) Khanak is searching for a towel here and there. Shaan notices that she doen't ask him.
Shaan: Khanak, towel is right there (points towards, the chair where towel was placed, he's still in the pool) Khanak reaches for it, smiles a thanks, looking at his eyes for the first time in whole day, she had noticed him working seriously in the hospital, when she had taken a break at the lunch. Aayush stands in front of her, she kneels down in front of him, and dries him up starting from his hairs, she makes him laugh my tickling Shaan is watching all this still standing in the pool. Madhvi comes out and watches duo and Shaan.
Madhvi: chalo Shaan tum bhi bahar aajao (Shaan nods at his mother and gets out of the pool)
His vest and pant is sticking to his body, Khanak attention is drawn towards him, but she manages to distract herself by looking at Aayush. She moves out telling that she'll bring Aayush clothes…
She returns back and asks Madhvi about Aayush, she tells that Aayush is taking shower in her room. She tells the direction to her room, Khanak hesitatingly moves towards, her phone rings, she takes it, its Dr.Lata, she had to do her presentation, while talking, she takes a wrong turn, instead of moving towards right, she moves to left, she reaches a room, she opens the door, she can hear shower running, she continue talking and moves towards the window… Door opens, she's still on the phone, she didn't hear it opening. It's Shaan's room……

Part 5 & 6

Part 5
They all are seated in the restaurant, food is ordered. Friendly talk is going on, by this time Sunil and Madhvi had come to know about Khanak parents. Sunil and Madhvi are enjoying the company of Aayush
Sunil: we are really sorry to hear about your family(toKhanak)                                                                      
Khanak: its ok uncle, formal hone ki zarrorat nahi hai (smiles)                                                                         
 Sunil: but I really appreciate your braveness beta, im impressed (smiles warmly)                                    
Madhv i: I agree, warna mumbai mein akeli ladki ka rehna, its quite imposiible (shakes her head)
Khanak smiles, food has arrived, she's feeding Aayush and alternatingly eating. Shaan is just looking at her, with a smile on his face, Sunil notices him smiling, nudges Madhvi to look at Shaan. Both of them share a secret smile…
Sunil: Khanak beta this is your last year of post graduation right??                                                                   
Khanak: yes uncle (smiles)                                                                                                                                         
Madhvi: Kya socha hai beta, u want to work in the same hospital or you want to open a separate clinic??               
Khanak:  I think I'll continue working in the same hospital, not sure (smiles)                                                              
Madhvi: aur shaadi ke bare mein?? (hesitatingly)                                                                                                  
Khanak is silent,  she looks towards Aayush, Aayush is busy licking his icecream, which he ordered. Shaan senses that something is not correct…                                                                                                             
Shaan: Mom (serious)                                                                                                                                     
Sunil notices him jumping right into her rescue, hides a smile…
Sunil: Madhvi let her be (presses her hand to stop going further)                                                               
Madhvi: koi baat nahi beta, waise kyat um kal ghar aa sakthi ho beta??                                                                      
Khanak: jee aunty?? Mein?? (looks towards Shaan, Shaan is looking at his mom with a questioning expression)
Madhvi: haan beta woh kya hai ki, Shaan's dadi, Akshay, mera bada beta aur Khushboo Akshay ki wife, sab London se aa rahe hai, me and Sunil had thought of giving a surprise party for them, if you don't mind can you help in organizing the party?? Shaan toh hamesha busy rehtha hai issliye??
Khanak: but aunty im not free until evening, u know hospital work (silently agreeing)                                                   
Madhvi: no beta finish of your work, we can meet in evening, hai na sunil??                                                     
Sunil: haan beta, if you want we can send a driver, what do you say Shaan??                                               
Shaan:Dad, agar Khanak ko koi problem nahi hain, toh I don't have any problem (looking at Khanak)                   
Aayush: mom chalthe hai na, evenings ki achchi time spend bi hojayega, please mom (pleading)                               
Khanak: Ok (to Aayush) teek hain aunty I'll come to your house in the evening (smiles)                                        
Khanak is talking freely with Sunil and Madhvi. Shaan is happy to see her mingling with his parents. They all leave the restaurant happily. Aayush is moving out with Sunil and Madhvi, Shaan and Khanak is left behind…                                                                                                                                                                
Shaan: so Dr. Khanak. (he's stopped by Khanak)                                                                                                 
Khanak: its ok Dr. Shaan, u can call me Khanak (smiles, slowly walking)                                                            
Shaan: then Khanak, I think u should call me Shaan. Both of them smiles broadly                                                         
Shaan: im sorry Khanak (Khanak is confused) I don't know whether I should be asking this or not, kya tum aur Raj?? (hesitatingly)                                                                                                                                     
Khanak: no no, nothing like that, he knows everything about me, because we were classmates and now colleagues, that's it, we are just good friends, he just cares for me like a friend (smiles warmly)                      
Shaan is relieved, reason?? Still a big question mark. Both of them smile at each other and leave the place…
They both reached where Madhvi and Sunil were standing with Aayush. Khanak and Aayush bids bye to them, and starts walking, Shaan is staring at her back, Khanak as on cue turns backwards to see, both of them look at eachother and smiles, she turns and leaves. Sunil and Madhvi notices this and are happy for his son…

Part 6                       

She's standing in front of her family photo. She puts her hand forwards to touch the photo, it gives her an immense pleasure, she leaves out a long breath. Her hands move around the photo and it stops near Aayush' She remembers about how Aayush had become closer to Shaan. She smiles, She had liked his parents, but she is scared to accept the feelings for Shaan. She had noticed him, getting comfortable with her.  He had directly asked about Raj, she answered him, his departing smile was worrying her, even she had smiled without her knowledge' But her life is not easy has it seems, when she had opened her eyes after 3 days of accident, she had already lost her family except Aayush. Aayush was in coma for a month. If Aayush would have also left her, she wouldn't have got the reason of her life'
But now she was worried for Shaan, if she was misleading him then that would lead her into trouble. She was really bad at choosing. If someone would have asked her to choose between her mom and dad, that would have been like choosing between her one of her eyes' She would have never done that, now her each and every being is devoted to Aayush, she was living happy only for Aayush's sake'
Now she had to decide between Aayush and Shaan' i.e., she had to decide between her life and feelings which are taking birth for Shaan. She had felt attracted towards him on the first day itself, but her resolution had made her strong, she had skipped the idea, but today, she couldn't help, she had shown him the signs, which was now threatening her'
At the same time Aayush returned, he had asked her for something to eat, she goes into kitchen to prepare something, in the meanwhile she decides to suppress her feelings inside, and she had to just concentrate on Aayush and on her studies, which was her parents dream.
Shaan was good, charming, a girl would wish for, but she thought that she had no rights to live a life like a normal girl.Now she was sure, that she's not right for Shaan's life. She decides to avoid getting closer to him, she would make herself busy with operations, but she wouldn't mislead him further'
She had prepared pasta for Aayush, as he wanted to eat that' Both of them sit in front of the tv, Aayush is watching cartoon, Khanak has usually, she's feeding him.
Aayush: Mom hum log kab jaa rahe hai, Shaan uncle ke ghar??
It flashes to her that she's suppose to go to his house, she had totally forgotten about that. Now what she's gonna do???
Aayush: (turns towards her) Mom, kya hua, kya soch rahe ho??
Khanak (is breaken out of her thought) : Kuch nahi Aayush, kal dekhthe hai (smiles slowly)
Aayush: please mom, chalthe hai na, bahut mazaa aayega
Khanak: dekhthe hai Aayush, abhi aap khalo' (she makes him eat)

Part 4         
The whole ward (ward of nearly 15 beds) was messed up by the kids, all were sitting very steadily, not talking not eating they are just sitting with a frowned face and all their blankets, toys were thrown around, all the things are lying on the ground. Their parents are trying to talk to them, but none agrees to it. Shaan is a bit confused at that situation, he's standing still.
Their comes Dr. Khanak, running and stops in the middle of the room, and she's not shocked by the scene, she knew this was coming. She turns and sees Dr. Shaan standing with a confused expression, she smiles at him and turns towards the kids. She takes a long breath'
Khanak: Hello kids, good morning (smiling broadly) But none answers her, all are starring at her. She goes near a bed, to a kid.                                                                                                              
Khanak: Kya hua?? Aap log breakfast kyun nahi kaa rahe hain?? Achche bachche aisa nahi karte hai!!                                                                                                                                                                    
Kid 1: aap jo kar rahe ho, who sahi hai?? All kids get up from their bed and move towards her, with the serious expression on their faces. Khanak senses tension, to make it cool, she coolly walks over and picks all the toys.                                                                                                          
Khanak: Maine?? Maine kya kiya?? (innocent)                                                                                       
Kid 2: time kya hai abhi ?? Khanak looks at her watch, realizes that she's half an hour late, though her duty starts from 9, everyday she used to come early only for the kids sake.                 
Khanak: sorry (holds her ears) main kya karthi, who Aayush hai na, he woke late today, uski waja se late ho gayi, sorry!! (smiles)                                                                                                                  
Kid 3: Sorry se kaam nahi chalega (pouts) Khanak is thinking of a ploy, to make them forgive her
Khanak: Ok aap log jho kahoge na main who maanongi, please, last time maaf kar do!!            
Kid 4: jo kahenge who karna hoga aapko (points a finger at her)                                                   
Khanak:Sure, karongi na, but please kuch difficult mat dena'
All kids are now grinning and rubbing their hands, they make her sit in on the bed, and they see Dr. Shaan seeing and smiling at the situation, they make him also sit on one of the chairs kept for visitors, which is diadonally opp from Khanak. All kids surround her, their parents are also smiling, as they knew all this coming up for her. One kid kneels in front of her on the bed.            
Kid: aapko gaana padega, hamare liye (all kids are smiling)                                                        
Khanak: Aap mazak kar rahe ho hai na?? main gaa vaa nahi sakthi (she tries to get up, but the kids never allow
Kid: Aapko gaana padega, nahi to hum, khana nahi khayenge.   
Everyone pouts'                             
Khanak: ok fine, but one last time, ok?? 
All kids start smiling, and are eagerly waiting, she starts

While singing, she makes the kids to eat, she cleans around and sings the song only for them, she sang the song like she's use to sing it every day. After she finished the song, all kide very happy, and hugged her, even she was happy for the kids. She noticed Shaan seeing at her, she came back to herself and she ordered the kids to go back to their bed and she went near Dr. Shaan, a bit embarrassed'                                                      
Khanak: Sorry Doctor, they are used to do this, aap naye ho na issliye aapko pata nahi hain (smiles)        
Shaan: (gets up) so everyday u'll sing a song for them??  (smiling)                                               
Khanak: nahi nahi, agar main har roz gaana gaathi, toh hospital main patients hi nahi aate (smiles)     
Shaan: nahi Dr. Khanak, you sang really well (smiles) K's little embarrassed. And after that they took the rounds and Khanak had assisted him in the operation.                                                                                        
The whole week had passed with much spoken, but only about their proffesion, in the meanwhile, Aayush had become closer to Shaan, as Shaan had tried to get close to him, it had worked and both of them had become good friends..
It was Sunday, Khanak had promised Aayush to take him out, they had left their house by noon. They had reached a mall, K is wearing jeans and a black T-shirt, A is wearing 3/4^th pant and a red T-shirt. Aayush wants to play games, so she takes him to game station.
Shaan had come out with his parents for shopping, don't know after how many days, in that matter months'They enter a mall, you can say co-incidence or destiny, even they are in the same mall.
Khanak and Aayush had left the game station, now aayush wanted to roam around. He's just twirling around and running, Khanak also running behind. She's happy to see him happy. Aayush runs until he collides with a woman, its Madhvi, Aayush feels sorry, Khanak comes there at that time. Madhvi bends down to check with aayush,                                        
Madhvi: aap teek tho ho na???(smiles) Aayush just hugs khanak legs and slightly nods.                
Khanak: im so sorry, he was just excited(smiles) (pats his shoulder)                                           
Madhvi: oh no problem, bachcha hi tho hain(smiles sweetly and pats his head)                        
Khanak: hmm.. I think we should leave now, nice meeting you aunty(smiles)                             
Madhvi:yeh, aapka bachcha hain???                                                                                                  
Khanak:hmm.. yes(smiles)                                                                                                                            
Madhvi: aap bahut young dikte ho(shocked)                                                                                             
By this time shaan and sunil had reached where Madhvi was standing and Shaan is shocked to see Khanak and Aayush there and at the same time happy too, to see them .                                                      
Shaan: Hey aayush, hello Dr.Khanak (with a smile) 
Khanak is surprised to see him                                     
Khanak: Hello (smiles) (Aayush sees him and he's happy to see him) Aayush runs towards him'          
Aayush: Hello uncle (hugs his legs) (Shaan picks him up)                                                                                    
Shaan: Kaise ho aap???                                                                                                                                       
Aayush: bahut achcha (smiles sweetly)                                                                                                               
Madhvi: Shaan tum inhe jaante ho??? (she is surprised, sunil is just watching)                                                    
Shaan: Yes, mom dad, Dr.Khanak hamari hospital main kaam karthi hain (smiles)                                     
Madhvi: So, nice (to K), aapke husband bhi aaye hain???                                                                            
Khanak is silent and a bit shy, she just bites her lower lip, she's about to reply but                                    
Shaan: Mom, she's not married (Mads is totally confused) before she could think some more,                  
Shaan: Mom, chill, Aayush, Khanak ki bhaiyya ka beta hain (smiles)                                                        
Madhvi: ooh, nice, kitna pyaara bachcha hain, hain na Sunil???                                                                    
Sunil: woh tho hain (smiles) Chalo beta saath main khaana khaate hain (to K)                                        
Khanak: No uncle, u carry on hame chalna chaiyiye, chalo aayush neeche utharo.                                   
Aayush: Mom aaj Shaan uncle ke saath lunch karte hain naa?? (asks sweetly)                                                   
Khanak: lekin Aayush                                                                                                                                  
Shaan: Dr.Khanak please???                                                                                                                                
Khanak: teek hain (smiles). 
They all leave the mall and enter into a restaurant closer by.
