Part 26 & 27- engagement

Part 26
They had entered into a good shopping place, Soch, they had decided, that they would go for clothes first and then for the ring. Dhruv is missing, Aayush is in Shaan's arms and Khanak beside him'
Aayush: mom!! Lets play a game!!
Khanak: game?? Even Shaan is confused!!
Aayush: yes!! We'll search a shervani for papa and papa will search a dress for you and for me, what say?? (he winked at her)
Khanak: lekin Aayush we don't know his choice'..
Shaan: yeah Aayush, and I seriously don't know what to buy for your mom'
Aayush: papa don't worry, Dhruv uncle will help you, mom even you don't worry, I'll help you'
Khanak: and you know his choice' Aayush noded sweetly, Khanak and Shaan are surprised, Dhruv joins them, Aayush tells him this, Dhruv does a thumbs up, and now Aayush is forwarded to Khanak's arms, their ways are different, Shaan had to go for 1^st floor for her dress'
Shaan and Dhruv entered a counter, and they asked for engagement dress, they showed a boat load of dresses, some Dhruv disliked it and most of them was disliked by Shaan, he wanted a simple attire for her but yes fashionable, he knew atleast so much, by the way she dressed, it had told him that, she is the perfect girl for him, even he is the same, isn't he??
Finally, both of them had agreed to a dress, offcourse it was blue in colour, as Khanak wanted it. Now its time for Aayush's dress'
On the other side, Khanak and Aayush are in great confusion, they had ended up for 2 shervanis, but they had to choose 1, as we know she was bad at choosing, even when she used to shop for her father or brother, if she would have liked two of them, then she would buy 2 of them, but now can she buy 2??
Khanak: Aayush dono hi le lete hai!! Whichever he likes, he'll wear!!
Aayush: mom, don't make it complicated, comeon pick one!! (encourages her)
Khanak is in utter confusion, Aayuh gives the support, and finally she selects one, she's not sure whether, Shaan likes it or not'.
 Khanak and Aayush had waited for them in the lobby, as they had taken so much time to come back, Khanak was agitated, she's not fine with her decision, what if he doesn't like it, she had never seen him wearing traditional clothes, she just wanted to drag him and ask about her choice, but she couldn't do that, Aayush cooled her, he randomly talked making her cool, now she had forgotten where she was, she was just listening to her son talk, who was making her laugh, hadn't he grown?? She felt like as though he was grown very much that he was now talking like a big child with responsibilities and she also feared that, he would leave her. She hugged him to her chest, tears in her eyes'
Khanak: Aayush!! Please don't ever leave him!! (chokes down)
Aayush moves out of the hug, wipes her tears, Mom!! If you tell to leave me also, then also I wouldn't leave you!! I promise!! Now stop crying mom!! Aapki engagement ho rahi hai, aur aap ek chote bachchi ki tarah ro rahe ho!! He tickles her, making her laugh, he knew how to keep his mom cheerful!! Now he'll be accompanied by his new papa, to make her cheerful!!
Finally, Shaan and Dhruv had made their way down, both of them not sure whether each one of them likes each others choice or not' They found mother and son talking freely, and Aayush making her laugh and even the staff'
Aayush: papa aap aagaye!! (Khanak turns to see at him, Shaan could guess that she had cried, but he didn't wanted to ask her in front of everyone, he knew her so well, that even in his absence, he could tell what his love was doing' but  for now she was smiling, her eyes now showed the curiousity to know what he had brought for her'
Khanak: what took you so long??
Both of them shrugged easily'
Aayush made Shaan to look at the shervani, Khanak is looking at him intently, his eyes roved over the material, he slightly touched it too, yes he had liked it, it was just the way he wanted it, his eyes had lit up seeing the material, yes now he knows that, his love also knows him well, he looked up st her, she was waiting for him to tell something, but'
Aayush: papa try it now!! Even Khanak noded to it, he agreed too'
When he had come out, we could say that Khanak would fall, thanks to the chair, she was leaned on'. He was looking best in this attire, he was just looking like a greek god!! His face to die for!! Aayush couldn't control his joy, he clapped, seeing his papa, even Dhruv liked it!! Khanak smiled gloriously at him, she appreciated herself for her work of selecting a perfect shervani for him, her future husband, thinking about that made her feel like as though butterflies in her stomach'
Now its Aayush's turn, Aayush was looking very good, Aayush liked Shaan's choice for him, he didn't have the heart to take it off, he had to'
Finally Khanak's turn, she took the bag which held the dress, she didn't open the bag in front of him. Dhruv and Aayush had gone out, as Aayush wanted to eat!!
After 5 minutes or so, she returned, but she was wearing her normal dress, Shaan is confused'
Shaan: Khanak!! You didn't like it??
Khanak: no!! I mean I loved it!! (glorious smile)
Shaan: then why didn't you wear??
Khanak: that's because you are not suppose to see me in this (pointing towards the dress) befor engagement fuction'
Shaan: who told that??
Khanak: myself!! (proud)
Shaan: Khanak please pehnke aao na, I want to see you right now in this dress!! (orders)
Khanak shakes her head in no, it irritates him. They pay for it and leave the place. Shaan is trying to avoid her, Khanak is enjoying his irritation, shes controlling her giggle' They enter into Tanishq for the rings, they are seated next to each other, they've asked for the rings, the person who's gonna attend them, he's searching for their best collections, Khanak moves closer to him'
Khanak: naraaz ho?? (near his ear)
Shaan ignores her and looks around the shop'
Khanak: Shaan!! Meri taraf dekho toh sahi!! (makes him look at her) sorry!! (holding her ears)
Shaan can't be angry with her for longer time, he had actually understood her, her feelings, it was so much important for her, his appraoval on her wearing the dress on that day, he now smiles at his own behavior''
Shaan: atleast ring toh pehnke dikhaogi na!! (mocking)
Khanak: nahi!!
Shaan: why??
Khanak: if you want, I'll wear it on my right hand's ring finger, but not on the left one'.
Shaan: ok!! (smiles knowingly) The person shows the rings for both of them, even Dhruv and Aayush joined them, ring was finalized too'
Cards for the engagement was also decide, they had returned to their houses, tired, happy'.
The next 2 days had fleed, now even in hospital everyone new about them, some were happy and some people had their own gossips, guests were decided, Khandelwal's house, venue for the fuction'
On the engagement day, Khanak had taken leave on that day, she's tensed, her friends and her neighbours are their with her, but she wished for her parents'
Aayush also calmed her, telling that he was there for her, there was a sudden chearing outside all of them looked at the direction, it's Dhruv's dad!


Part 27


Dhruv's dad is a cheerful person, he was best friend of  Khanak's dad, and Khanak would mention him as her first crush, Khanak is very happy to see him, this was a surprise from her friends, in the next moment she's hugging him and tears are flowing freely from her eyes, he's hugged her back'.
Khanak: I missed you DD (she used to call him that in her past days)
DD: agar itna miss karthi thi, toh call kyun nahi kiya?? (chokes)
Khanak wipes her tears, moves out of the hug
Khanak: who meri naye wala bf ke saath busy thi!! (winks at him and smiles)
DD: achcha!! Aur uska naam Shantanu hai!! (smiling) (Khanak is shy) im happy for you beta!! (pecks her on forehead)
DD: achcha batao, kya kya shopping ki hai, abb main apni beti ki shaadi karoonga!!
Dhruv: Dad, seriously beti!! (makes a face)
DD: agar bahu nahi ban sakthi to kya hua, beti toh hai hi!!
Misha: toh phir Dhruv Khanak ki bhai hua hai na?? (pulling out of the senti part)
Raj: correct!! Abb se Khanak, dhruv ko bhaiyya kehke bullaigi!! (pulling Dhruv's leg)
Dhruv: oh plese main kisiki bhai nahi banne wala hun!! Waise dad main aur Khanak ne decide kiya hai, that we'll continue our affair part after her marriage!! (siddles up to her, Khanak pushes him)
Khanak: no ways of cheating my husband!! (blurts)
All of them: my Husband aah!!! (grinning)
Aayush: agar kisi ne meri mom ko tease kiya na, it won't be good!!
DD talks with Aayush, engagement preparations are on fire, they had to reach Khandelwal's house by evening.
Make up artist had come for her make-up, though Khanak had denied it, but her friends insisted her, only light make up was agreed by Khanak'

Khanak's dress
Her hairs were left in curls, she looking gorgeous in the dress, her waiste is exposed, it is adored by those beads, she had let her dupatta flow on her hands, her nech and ears adored with jewellery...
Aayush is wearing a cream coat on a black shirt and pant, looking very cute...
Evening, Shaan on otherside was all ready

looking like a greek god in his attire. Khandelwal's all are ready, Sunil and Akki in their 3piece suite, Madhvi and boo in their designer sarees, dadi in her simple attire 
Khandelwal house is all decorated with white and blue flowes, house is all lightened up, looking good for the engagement party...

Guests all have come, they are waiting for the bride's side. Khandelwals are grouped and pulling Shaan's leg, they get the message that bride side has arrived, Shaan and everyone turned towards the entrance, Shaan's eyes searches for Khanak...

DD is standind in the front, with Dhruv, Aayush is in Dhruv's arms and Raj, he's impressed by Khandelwal's for their arrangement, Khanak is standing behind them with Misha and all other people whom she knew...

Khandelwal's don't have any idea about DD, DD is introduced to them, DD is happy after meeting Shaan, Shaan bends down to take his blessing, but DD hugs him, he's happy for Khanak, Shaan is impatient, he wanted to see her, his love, but DD is completely covering her, Dhruv and Raj, sees that, they are controlling their laughter...

Aayush jumps down from Dhruv's arms, goes to his dad.

Aayush: (Shaan picks him up) papa your looking handsome... (his eyes sparkling)

Shaan: thanks, aap bhi bahut achche lag rahe ho!!

Sunil: arrey hamari honewali bahu kaha hai bhai??

Dhruv: woh uncle ghar par hai!! (joking)

Shaan: what?? (terrified)

Raj: chill!! he's joking! presenting Miss Khanak Mishra...(all of them move apart, Shaan is mesmerized by her simplicity and her beauty, Khanak is shy, she's bent her head down, she goes towards dadi to take her blessings, she hugs Madhvi and khushboo and Sunil and Akki gives her a side hug, she's not looking towards Shaan)

Misha: Shaan you can close your mouth (giggles)

Akki pats him on his back, Shaan rubs his hair at the nape of his neck...

Madhvi: chalo chalo sab chalthe hai, engagement shuru karte hai... (Aayush is now transferred into Akki's arms)

They make them sit together, on the chairs which is placed in the centre of the hall. Madhvi brings a plate, and does teeka for both of them from Dulha's side, DD does teeka once again for both of them from Dulhan's side...

After that rings are brought



Khanak's ring



Shaan's ring

They are made to stand opposite to each other, Khanak finally looks at him, Shaan is smiling at her, Madhvi gives Shaan, the ring, he takes it from her, he extends his left hand, she slowly keeps her left hand, he puts the ring onto her ring finger, ever so slowly, everyone claps...

Khanak also places the ring on his ring finger!! All are happy!!!

Mubbarak ho Shanak ki engagement ho gayi!!!!

Dadi gives them sweet, which was first eaten by Shaan and Khanak had taken the bite from the left off, that's one of the ritual...

Party is on, DD is easily gelling with Khandelwal's...

Dadi: Khanak beta, humne shaadi ke liye dates dekhi hai, dus din ke baad muharat nikal aaya hai, tumhare liye teek hai na??

Khanak is shocked, dadi bahut jaldi hai!!!

Shaan: arrey kya jaldi hai, dadi teek hai, dus din ke baad shaadi, Khanak teek hai!!

Khanak: no shaan!! i've still got my exams...

Shaan: exams hi toh hai, shaadi ke baad complete kar lena!! what say dad??

Sunil: haan beta!! we don't have any problem with your studies and your work, you can continue after your marriage also!!

Aayush: yeh!!! mumma aur papa ki shaadi hai!!!! (excited)  Khanak is not ready, but her friends and DD convinces her, she's agreed for now, but still she's not fine with it...

Party continues, all are dancing, even Aayush, Khanak is trying to smile, but tension is clear in her face, Shaan has noticed that, but for now, all are coming forward to wish them, even Dr. Lata had come, she was happy for both of them. At one point all are busy, enjoying the party, Shaan talks to dadi and pulls Khanak to a side and takes her to his room

Khanak: Shaan!! kya kar rahe ho?? (they are now in his room)

Shaan: Khanak!! (holds her hands in his hands) kya hua?? why are you tensed??

Khanak: Shaan this is so early, i don't think so that im ready for a marriage right now!! Aayush, tum, mere studies, i have that fear that i'll mess up, agar main Aayush ko time nahi depaoungi then he'll be sad, agar main tumhe time nahi dun, then u'll be upset, agar main apne studies ko dhyaan na dun, then i'll be ruining my parent's dream...

Shaan understands her, he moves near her, cups her face...

Shaan: Khanak chill!!!! i know that u won't mess up with anyone of us, i agree to that Aayush requires attention, don't worry hum dono usse sambhalenge, aur tumhari studies, main ho na, i'll help you and your parents dream will come true!! and me, im there in your schedule now, so mere liye chal jayega, bus thoda sa time, hamare romance ke liye de dena... (Shaan is grinning, Khanak smiles)

Khanak: lekin Shaan!! your family??

Shaan: our family Khanak!! trust me, they don't have any problem with this!!

Khanak smiles and Shaan engulfes her into a tight hug, Khanak is resting her head on his chest, her hands at his back, Shaan is caressing her back...

Shaan: congratulations on your engagement!! Khanak mishra!!

Khanak: Same to you!! (still engulfed)

Shaan: waise Khanak!! tumhara sirname Mishra hai, yeh mujhe aaj hi pata chala!!

Khanak is out of the hug

Khanak: what do you mean, you didn't know???

Shaan: tumne kabhi bataaya hi nahi!!

Khanak: what?? aise kaise bataya nahi!! i have my full name on my id, which i wear everyday!!

Shaan: achcha baba sorry!!, aaj toh mat lado!! (pulls her, his hand now comes in contact with bare waiste, Khanak gasps at his touch, Shaan moves his hand upwards, so that its on her clothing now)

Khanak has closed her eyes, Shaan slowly cups her face and pecks on her forehead, Khanak slowly opens her eyes, Shaan is too close, faces inches away, Shaan's lips slowly closes on her lips, he kisses her fully, her hands rested on his waiste, pulling kurta down with force, this time she also responds to the kiss!! Both are lost in their wonderland!!!!

Part 24 & 25

Part 24

After sometime, Khanak is resting her head on his left shoulder, half asleep, he's messing with her hair, straightening it, curling it'. It's already half past midnight'
Shaan: Khanak!!!
Khanak: hmm'(struggling hard to be awake)
Shaan: I love you!! (pulling her  more closer)
Khanak: hmm' She has entered into her dreamland'.
Shaan: when are you going to reply??? Khanak doesn't answer, she'e slept off' Since she didn't respond, Shaan looks down at her, she's sleeping, she's snuggled into his chest, she's secured in his arms, Shaan smiles at her sleeping figure' He reluctantly gets up, he wanted to spend some more time there, but it was getting colder. He slowly got up and carried her in his arms. He carried her to her room, mde her sleep, covered her with the blanket, she stirred in sleep and moved closer to Aayush. Shaan bend down slowly whispered good night and pecked his would be wife on her forehead and had left the room silently'
Next day morning 5:00
Shaan tiptoed into her room, he was fresh and squeaky clean, it was clrearly telling that he had not slept whole night. Khanak was in deep sleep, Shaan moved closer and shaked her'
Shaan: Khanak!! (near her ear)
Khanak buried herself into the blanket, Shaan had no idea what to do, he slowly carried her in his arms, brought her to the hall, placed her on the sofa, she's still sleeping. Shaan didn't wanted her to wake up, but he had too'
Shaan: Khanak!! (taps on her cheeks) Khanak opens her eyes, half.
Khanak: Shaan!!(in her sleep drugged voice) (closes her eyes and settles herself on the sofa)
Shaan: haan!! Tumhara Shaan!! Abb utho!! (taps her once again)
Khanak: (opens her eyes) Shaan, problem kya hai, soney kyun nahi de rahe ho?? (Frustated)
Shaan: Khanak please utho!!! We have to go out and I want to show you something!!  (Enthu)
Khanak: (fully awake and fully frustated) Shaan!! Itni subah subah kaha jaana hai tumhe??
Shaan: tum chalo toh sahi!! (makes her get up, she reluctantly gets up and freshens)
Shaan is driving, Khanak is sitting next to him, fully irritated, Shaan smiles at her, he tries to get hold of her hand, she takes off  it from him, furiously' Shaan lets her be, as he loves her, then obviously he should her ways'.He had reached, actually they had reached, he had reached happily, she was sulking all the way' Shaan got down, moved to her side and opened the door for her, she gets down and tries to look around, though sun has rised, but its covered with fog, she goes till the end, she's trying to see, Shaan holds her hand from back'
Shaan: ghirne ka iraada hai kya!! Main tumhe itne zaldi nahi chodnewala hun!! (pulls her towards him) infact main tumhe zindagi barr nahi chodunga!! 
Khanak tries to get to move out, her struggles are thrown into the air, finally she agrees to him'
Shaan: sorry Khanak!! I know I've not left you sleep!! (holding his ears)
Khanak smiles at him, bring back his hands down, lekin Shaan where are we?? Yaha pe toh kuch  nahi dikhayi de raha hai'
Shaan: ek minute!! (by this time sun has fully raised, due to the bright light, fog is all cleared, she could see that view, which she wished to see from childhood, but she had not got chance, as her father whenever they used to come, he would promise her to take her, but couldn't do that. She's so mesmerized by the natural beauty, it's the tigers point')

Khanak: Shaan I can't believe this!! (fully excited) am I really here?? Am I still dreaming?? (closes her mouth in shock)
Shaan: this is real Khanak!! I knew this was one of your dream, to see tigers point, in the morning' actually Dhruv told this!!
Khanak: thanks a lot Shaan!! (hugs him) this will be the best morning in my life'
Shaan: I don't think so Khanak!! You still have the whole life to spend with me, I promise to fill your life with surprises (looking at her)
Khanak: Shaan!! I don't want anything unless you're beside with me!! Mujhe bus choti choti si Khushiyan maayine raktha hai, mujhe bus tumhare time chaiyiye mereliye aur mere Aayush ke liye'
 Hearing those words from her, which was clearly telling tell him that even she was in love with him, had brought tears in his eyes, he hugged closer to his heart'
Shaan: I'll promise to be the best husband for you and best papa for Aayush'
Khanak: I Love you too Shaan!! Hearing those words, he wanted to jump in joy and yell to the world that she belongs only to him, but he moved out of the hug, pecked on her forehead'

Both of them had reached back at home, all were waiting for them, Dadi wanted to go to a temple, it was decided that they'll be visiting Ekira devi temple, famous in Lonavala, after that boating for Aayush and Bushy dam for all of them

A special pooja for Shanak and Aayush's sake at Ekira devi, after that Aayush had gone crazy for boating, Shanak with Aayush in one boat, Raj is with misha, Dhruv is left with dadi, sunil is with madhvi and Akki with boo..

After that, her friends had wanted to visit bushy dam, their wish was also fulfilled, once again Raj was seen Misha, Dhruv can't shut his mouth..

Dhruv: oye Raj!! tu kab se Misha ke saath rehne laga?? (his eyebrows dancing)

Raj: (not wanted to left out) jab se mujhe pata chala hai ke, that Misha's husband is leaving her (winks at Dhruv) Misha quickly leaves his hand, and glare at him.

Misha: oh please!! dream on!! he would never leave me...(confident)

Shaan: kya confidence hai (gelling with them)

Khanak: hogi kyunn nahi, love marriage jo tha... (smiles) Misha is blushing...

Aayush: mom!! (he's gone way forwards with Akshay) Khanak is terrified, she tries to move to him as fast as she can, she know that he's safe with Akki, but still she is the mother...

Khanak: Aayush waapas aajao!! (she's about to fall, Shaan holds her, she smiles at him, but Shaan was tensed)

Dhruv: oh super mom!! apne aapko sambhalo pehle!!

Shaan: Khanak please be carefull!! (still holding her hand, both of them are close enough)

Raj: (clears his throat) this is called public place...

everyone at unison,yells RAJ!!!!

Everyone are super tired with amount of fun they had today!! All of them were very happy, a sudden call to Sunil and Akki,had informed that, their trip was over, still they had to see so much, no one had the wish of going back, but they had to, it was decided that they'll be leaving early in the morning...

Shaan had shown some concern towards Khanak, he had left her to sleep and rest...


Part 25

As soon as they had returned, Khanak and Raj had to take over the duty, Shaan had taken off, as dadi wanted to talk to him about engagement preparations, Shaan had called at her house, as her phone was switched off, got to know from Dhruv, that she'll be having night duty. Shaan had wished that he could see her or to talk with her, he was disappointed…
Suddenly his phone rang, he didn't have mood to pick up, but when he saw the screen flashing the name of his would be wife, hhis face lit up, he was overjoyed, he picked the call…
Khanak: Hello!! (slowly)
Shaan: Khanak!! I was just thinking about you!! (smiling broadly)
Khanak: achcha!! Sorry Shaan couldn't call you, I was in OT, and im totally exhausted!! (tired)
Shaan (irritated): then why are you doing that night duty?? Why can't you go home and rest??
Khanak: Shaan chill!! Shaayad tum bhul rahe ho, that im still learning, im still a student (softly) and I have to obey the orders of seniors!! Don't worry, I'll be fine!!
Shaan: do you want me to talk to Dr. Lata??
Khanak: no!! im fine, abb tum batao, dinner kiya??
Shaan: (smiles) nahi, actually I was waiting for you to serve me!!
Khanak: oh really!! Nice one Shaan!! But you have to wait for that…
Shaan: wohi toh nahi ho raha hai!! Intezaar!! (smiles naughtily)
Khanak blushes at that statement…
Shaan: achcha listen, me and Dadi have decided the theme for engagement!! It will be red!!
Khanak: nice!! Lekin red?! No Shaan I think it should be blue!! I love blue!!
Shaan: sorry Khanak, It'll be red, its my choice (proud)
Khanak: Shaan!! But I like blue!! (argument begins)
Shaan: Khanak, its red!!
Khanak: no blue!!
They fought like this for some more time, until each of them cuts the phone angrily…
 Khanak had a busy night, when she had come in the morning, her friends had greeted her, but she didn't have the mood to chat with them, she was informed that, Aayush had gone to school, she had collapsed on her bed after changing…
When Shaan had come to hospital, she had already left, he decides to meet her at her house after his duty… Shaan had reached her apartment, by noon, he was greeted by Misha, Dhruv was busy with Sunil, in the preparations of engagement, he was making the guest list for Khanak. After seeing Shaan, Misha had excused herself and had left telling that she was going to pick Aayush from school…
Shaan entered into her room, he was seeing her room for the first time, there was big photo of her, which her friends had gifted her on her birthday, and another photo frame of her with her family, she's smiling gloriously in both of them, her room, he felt somewhat serene, there, she was sleeping, her hair all over, her hands below her head, Shaan slowly moves to the other side, smiles mischievously, and sleeps next to her silently…
He tucks her hair behind her ear, Khanak stirs, Shaan becomes silent, he's just looking at her… As on cue, Khanak slowly opens her eyes, at first his image is blurr, she blinks, rubs her eyes, sees him, she's shocked, she suddenly gets up on the bed…
Khanak: Shaan!! (terrified)
Shaan: itni jaldi utne ki kya zaroorat thi!! (gets up too, he's sitting opposite to her)
Khanak: what?? Anyways, what are you doing here??
Shaan: tumse milne aur kis liye!! (shrugs) for your kind information, after that fight, you didn't call me back!! (pouts)
Khanak: oh!! For your kind information, ladaai maine nahi aapne shuru kiya tha!! (gets up on her knees)
Shaan: maine?? (even he gets up on his knees) main nahi tumne!!
Both of them are ready to fight!! Dhruv was watching this from the door (only the fight)..
Dhruv: guys cool!! Tum log bhi na!! (both of them cooled themselves and both of them got out from the bed)
Dhruv: achcha abb shopping chalna hai ki nahi??
Shaan and Khanak (together) : lekin Aayush!!
Dhruv: waah!! Kya timing hai!! Don't worry, Aayush abhi aata hi hoga and yes even he's coming with us….
Shaan and Dhruv had left the room, allowing her to get ready, she was ready within 15 minutes, she had worn a red kurti on jeans, Shaan was surprised, he had heard that girls take more time to get ready, he was impressed, at the same time Aayush enters…
Aayush: mom!!! (runs to her)
Khanak (bends down and hugs him): Hey Aayush!!
Aayush's notices Shaan, who was broadly smiling…
Aayush: Shaan uncle!! (runs to him, Shaan picks him up)
Shaan: hey champ!!
Dhruv: Aayush start calling him papa!!
Aayush: yes!! Abhi mein aapko papa hi bhulaonga… (hugs him)
Shaan: that's good (hugs him too, Khanak is smiling)
Aayush gets ready and he's ready to go for shopping with his mom and his new dad!! Dhruv was also accompanying them…

Part 22 & 23

Part 22
Khanak had convinced Khandelwal's to come to her farmhouse for a holiday. They all had agreed to her, even they were excited with the trip. Khanak had thought of something to cheer Aayush and make him strong, she consulted Lata for this, Lata had agreed to it, but she had adviced her to be careful, Khanak had agreed to that, even Dhruv, Raj and Misha were involved in the plan, but she had not told Shaan.        She knew exactly, if she would tell him, he would reject it, so it would be a surprise for him too…
Aayush was excited to go to the farmhouse, as it was in Lonavala, Lonavala is the best place in monsoon, as it was monsoon, he would be enjoying it to the core. He remembers that Lonavala, is a hill station with lots of greenery, waterfalls are to die for… Even the streams, dams and most famous is the tiger point. He remembers that when he was small, his dadaji (Khanak's dad) had toured Lonavala with him….
It was decided that, they all were meeting early in the morning. Shaan too was excited, as he would be getting more time to spend with Khanak…
Next day morning, Khandelwal's had reached her home, she and her friends were busy in getting the bags ready, she was wearing half cotton pant, which was upto her knee and a T-Shirt with a collar, her hairs left free and shoes to complete her look. Shaan was amazed by looking at her; Shaan was wearing a white T-shirt with jeans and shoes. Our Aayush was also rocking with his best holiday clothes, shorts and t-shirt with a cap, all others were also looking cool…
3 cars would be taken, one for dadi, sunil and Madhvi, other one was for Dhruv, Raj and Misha and the last one was for Khanak, Aayush, Shaan, Akki and Boo.
Journey was started smoothly, as it was early, traffic was less, after an hour of journey, they stopped near a restaurant, for breakfast. All moved into the restaurant. Shaan and Khanak were the last one. Shaan moved near her…
Shaan: your looking like a 16 year old…(grinning)
Khanak: yeh compliment tha???
Shaan: haan!! Maine suna tha agar ek ladki ko aap kehdo ki voh bahut young lag rahi hai toh voh bahut khush ho jati hai… (moving closer to her)
Khanak: voh sab teek hai, (moving away) what are you doing??
Shaan: im waiting for my compliments… (moving closer, until she hits the rail at her back, she's not speaking)
Shaan: agar tumhe batane main problem ho rahi hai toh…(brings his cheek close to her mouth, he's smiling)
Khanak understands, she smiles and slowly moves forward and pecks him on his cheek. Shaan broadly smiles and looks at her, Khanak is shy, she bends her head down, she's smiling too…
Shaan: haaye!!! (keeps his right hand on his heart, playfully) Khanak uses the opportunity and runs from there, she enters into the restaurant. Shaan also slowly enters after her…
It's a huge table, all are seated around, and food is ordered.Aayush is sitting in between Shaan and Khanak. Shaan excuses himself to go the washroom. Khanak looks at Dhruv, who was sitting opposite to her, she winked at him, giving him the sign to start the plan, Dhruv nodded even Raj and Misha….
Dhruv: Raj, you remember na, pichli baar jab hum yaha aaye the toh kitna maza aaya tha…
Raj: haan haan!!! Yaad kyun nahi, achche tareke se yaad hai… (Aayush is attracted towards the talk)
Misha: starting with that race (dreamy look) yaad hai na Dhruv, Khanak ne tumhe haraya tha…
Khushboo: kaisa race?? (interested too)
Khanak: voh kya hai bhabhi, jab bhi hum log mom dad ke saath aate the na, me and Dhruv would have car race and last time I had won the race…(proud)
Akki: toh abb ek race hojaye?? (excited) Khanak and her friends smiled but they give an expression of fake upset…
Khanak: nahi bhaiyya!! Nahi ho sakta (upset, looks at Aayush sideways, Aayush is looking at her)
Akki and boo are upset…
Dhruv (taking it forward): haan haan!! Abb maan lo that your scared of me!!
Shaan comes at that time, all are alerted, and Shaan has no idea what's going on, he silently takes his seat.
Khanak: oh!! main kisise nahi darthi!!
Dhruv: toh phir hojaaye???
Khanak: nahi ho saktha yaar!!
Dhruv and Raj: Kyun???
Khanak: Aayush darr jayega…
Dhruv: Aayush nahi tum!! Manlo Khanak that your scared…(Shaan is amused)
Aayush gets perked up, how can he take his mom's insult…
Aayush: Nahi!! Meri mom kisise nahi darr thi!!
Sunil: correct!! Hamari Khanak kisise nahi darr thi!! Khanak beta tum race karlo, hum tumhare saath hai (does a tumbs up)
Shaan: Kaisa race??
Khanak: ek minute Shaan, lekin uncle….
Aayush: mom race karegi… (announces loudly) Khanak and her friends smile and wink at each other…
Race was decided, 2 ways were considered, Khanak takes a way and Dhruv another way, both ways makes them reach the farmhouse, distance was same, to avoid unusual accidents, this was decided.Sunil, Madvi and Dadi had left, Khanak had given them directions… Shaan still has no idea, they got seated, Khanak in the driving seat, Shaan next to her. Akki khushboo at the back seat, Aayush is safe in between them. Khanak had buckled his belt then…
Khanak: (buckling her belt) Shaan buckle your belt (akki and boo also had buckled their belt)
Shaan: why?? Abb hum city se bahar hai na…(adjusting the mirror, so that she could see Aayush)
Khanak: kar lo na (pleads) Shaan buckles his belt… On the count of three, both the cars left their way, Khanak slowly geared up…
Shaan: Khanak easy!! Slow chalao na… (Khanak is concentrating on the roads, since it was bright day,roads were not fogged up, actually, in monsoons, roads of lonavala get fogged up, raods are quite broad and empty)
Akki: Shaan let her concentrate, we have to win this!!
Shaan: what concentrate?? What win??
Khushboo: arrey Shaan we and Dhruv are having car race, and we have to win this…
Shaan: have you people gone mad!! (frustrated)
Khanak shakes her head, she's maintaining the speed limit, she's still at 90, but Shaan is feeling as though she had crossed 100…
Khanak hits the break all jerked up, they were standing in front of beautiful house, Khnak removes her belt and moves out to check on Aayush, at that time Dhruv's car also come, Sunil, madhvi and dadi came out too… Khushboo and Akshay gets out they are happy that they had won the race…
Khanak went and holded Aayush's hand, even Dhruv, Raj and Misha joined her…
Khanak: Aayush!! Aayush!! (worried)
Aayush looked at her, with a blank expression, Khanak's blood pressure had increased to the most, but…
Aayush: mom!! You won!! (yelled) Khanak was now relieved even others, Aayush hugged her, he moved away from hug moved out of the car, and he was jumping in joy outside, Khanak was happy for him… All were happy, all moved in, Shaan was still sitting in shock, Khanak moved and opened the door..
Khanak: Shaan ghar aagaya hai!! (Shaan is still, Khanak jerks him, he looks at her and moves out of the car, breathing heavily)
Khanak: Shaan easy easy!! (Rubs his back)
Shaan: arrey iss tarah koi ghaadi chalate hai kya…. (yells)
Khanak: Shaan chill!! I did this for Aayush's sake….
Shaan: Aayush!! Have you gone mad Khanak, agar kuch hojatha tho…
Khanak: kuch nahi ho tha Shaan!! I had taken safety measures… Shaan calms himself.
Shaan: (softly) Khanak, hum uske liye kuch aur soch lete na, I didn't have to take risk…
Khanak: Shaan (smiles) see we've reached…
Shaan: (lets out a long breathe) tum log bhi na!! kya yeh tumhara pehla time tha?? You know, racing??
Khanak: no Shaan!! Jab bhi hum yaha aate tho hum racing karte the, Dhruv ke dad mujhe support karthe the, aur mere dad Dhruv ko!! (with a smile)
Shaan: are you serious Khanak?? I mean your dad supported you??
Khanak: haan shaan, but we were in limits, hum dono race zaroor karte lekin we used to ride the car below 100…
Shaan: your impossible!! (shakes his head)
Khanak: are you reconsidering your decision?? (joking)
Shaan: have you gone mad?? (hold her hand) main aisa sapne mein bhi nahi soch saktha!! Khanak!! I Love You!! (smiles, Khanak smiles too)….

Part 23
Both of them had moved in, it was a beautiful house surrounded by greenery, Shaan was impressed, Khanak had felt like as though she had come back home…
Shaan:wow!!! Its really nice Khanak!! Does anyone stay here??
Khanak: thanks!! Yes!! Ramu kaka stays here, he takes care, come, u still have much more to see it.
Both of them have moved in thehouse, its quite huge, all are settled and moving around, Shaan is just beside Khanak…Aayush comes in front of them…
Aayush: Mom can we go for boating???
Khanak: (bends down) yes!! But tomorrow, I've to call for the guides… Aayush is upset, but suddenly gets cheered, goes to Shaan…
Aayush: uncle aapne swimming pool nahi dekha na, chalo mein dikhata hun (pulls him with his strength)
Shaan moves out with him, while Khanak allots room for everyone ad has got plans, meanwhile outside..
Aayush: pick me up (to Shaan, straining his head to see him)
Shaan smiles and picks him up, they are near the pool…
Aayush: uncle, main aapse kuch pooch saktha hun??
Shaan: yes!!
Aayush: aap Mom ko pasand karthe ho na??
Shaan: (surprised) Aayush!!! Khanak ne bataya tumhe???
Aayush: nahi! Lekin mujhe pata hai!! Aap mere mom ko kush rakhenge na??
Shaan: haan!! Aur aapko bhi!!
Aayush: toh aap mom se shaadi kar rahe ho?? (excited)
Shaan: yes!! kyun tum nahi chahthe??
Aayush: offcourse chahtha hun (hugs him tightly, Shaan hugs him too)
Shaan: Aayush your happy na??? (Aayush moves out of the hug)
Aayush: bahut zyaada!!! (both of them are grinning) Both of them move in…
Aayush: mom aap Shaan uncle se kab shaadi kar rahe ho??? (in front of everyone, as soon as he asks that question, everyone control their giggle, Khanak is shocked hearing the question, she closes her eyes in horror, Shaan is grinning)
 Dadi: jaldi ho jayegi!!
Shaan: haan agar tumhari mom manjaaye na, to aaj hi hojayegi, kyun khanak???
Khanak eyes flee towards him, she glares at him, he's broadly smiling, Khanak runs out from there and enters the kitchen, Shaan has followed her…
Khanak is just standing and smiling, dreaming about her marriage with Shaan, thinking of that makes her body shiver, Shaan is just behind her, she opens her eye as she could feel his breathe on her neck….
Shaan slowly hugs her from back, Khanak responds and leans back on him, Shaan makes her turn towards him she has closed her eyes. Shaan brings his fingers and feels her every features on her face, her lashes, her nose, her full lips… His touch on her lips makes her to open her eyes, he could see that she was trembling, she has completely leaned on him, her hends were holding his shirt at his waiste, both are lost in eachother eyes…
Dhruv (from outside): bhai hum bhooke mar rahe hai yaha pe… (controlling his giggle)
Hearing this Khanak moves away from him slowly, she's smiling, Shaan is frustrated…. He pulls her back, Khanak is shocked, she tries to push him, but he's too strong for her…
Khanak: Shantanu!! Shaan is surprised hearing that, but still won't move a bit…
Shaan: haan Khanak!! (broadly smiling)
Khanak: shayad aapne suna nahi!! Voh…. she's stopped by him, as he had kept his index finger on her lips, he lingers on her lower lip, his eyes focused on her lips, her toes curl at his touch, both are very close to each other…
Aayush (from outside): Mom!!! (screams) Khanak and Shaan are horrified!! They quickly get off each other and runs outside in unison….
Outside Aayush is jumping in joy, all are happy, Shaan and Khanak are puzzled, Aayush sees them, comes near Khanak, pulls her down and hugs her tightly….
Khanak: Aayush kya hua?? Sab teek hai na?? (pulls him out of the hug)
Aayush: Mom aapki aur Shaan uncle ki engagement date fix hogayi!! (excited)
Shaan is happy even Khanak too, Dadi comes near her, she stands up…
Dadi: beta humne paanch din ke baad date fix kiya hai, teek hai na?? (with a smile)
Khanak is shy, she bends her head down and nods lightly, Dadi hugs her, all are happy, even her friends too…
Sunil: chalo bhai kuch kaa lete hai, bahut bhook lagi hai!! All move towards the dining, everything is gujju…Ramu kaka is standing next to the table and smiling…
Khanak: how sweet kaka aapko yaad tha!! (gushes)
Everyone take their seats, Shaan and Khanak find each one of them next to each other, Aayush is next to Khanak….
Shaan: yeh sab?? (looking at the food)
Khanak: this is tepla, dhokla, khandavi…. Pata hai tepla with aachar is the best…(dreamy)
Shaan: wow!! Maine kabhi try nahi kiya!!
Khanak: abb try karlo!! (she serves him slowly, everyone enjoys the food)
Evening also went smoothly with corn pakoda, as it was cold, all enjoyed and Khanak had took everyone around the farmhouse, as they had grape vegetation behind, they  had a good walk, since ramu kaka was talking about everything, Shaan and Khanak were left behind, Aayush was enjoying his time with Akshay… Shaan and Khanak had held hands all the way, the group had decided to give them privacy…
After everyone returned all had been tired, but Shaan was not, they all had dinner, it was decided that tomorrow they'll be exploring it, everyone went to bed early…
Khanak, Aayush and Misha in one room. Shaan was not able to sleep, he slowly stepped into Khanak's room, saw her sleeping with Aayush, had a sudden wish of getting into the bed next to her, but stopped himself, moved towards her side, slowly near her…
Shaan: Khanak!! (wispers) Khanak stirred in sleep…
Shaan: Khanak!! (sweetly and lightly shakes her) Khanak opened her eyes slowly, she's shocked, she gasps and sits on the bed…
Khanak: Shaan!!! (horrified)
Shaan: aaram se bolona, chalo na bahar chalthe hai!! (casually standing)
Khanak: Shaan!! You've gone mad (stands in front of him)
Shaan: voh toh tabhi hogaya tha, jab maine tumhe pehli baar dekha tha!!! Abb chalo… (brings her out, not allowing her to talk)
Outside the room,
Khanak: ek minute Shaan!! Main kuch lati hun, bahar bahut tand hai!! (turns to go in, Shaan stops her)
Shaan: main hoon na!!! (Khanak is confused, Shaan holds her hand and brings her near the pool, it was so cold she moves closer to him, rubbing her arms and yawning) Shaan smiles at her. He coolly sits down, and inserts his legs inside the water in the pool, as though he's used to this weather, offcourse he was staying in London, waha par tho isse zyaada tand hogi na, Khanak smacks her head, but she's not used to, she feeling very cold…
Shaan: sit down Khanak!! Makes space between his legs….
Khanak: you must be joking!! Mein yahi bet jaati hun (makes an attempt of sitting next to him, but Shaan pulls her hardly that she lands in between his legs and her legs inside the water, Khanak shrieks because of the cold water, hugs her legs to her upper body)
Shaan: Khanak kuch nahi hoga, leave your legs!!
Khanak: pagal hogaye ho!!! Kitna thand hai!! Aisa tho mere legs ka saare vessels(arteries and veins) clot hojayenge (pouts sweetly)
 Shaan: dumbo ki tarah baat mat karo!! Tumhari body ke liye jo heat chaiyiye voh main dedoonga… (Khanak is confused, Shaan slowly releases her legs and they get inserted into the water)
Before Khanak could ask further any questions, Shaan had hugged her closely, his chin resting on her shoulder, Khanak could sense that he was nuzzling her neck, her hair sticking to his face, she has closed her eyes, Shaan getting himself familiar to her fragrance….
Khanak: Shaan!! Why I am sensing some trouble?? Shaan laughs throatly, and hugs her tightly…
Shaan: Khanak I was scared!!! (lloking at her from side)
Khanak: during car race!! (Suppresses her giggle)
Shaan: nahi jab Aayush told that you were not spending enough time with him!! Khanak is silently hearing…
Shaan interlinks his fingers with her…
Shaan continues, I was scared that you would regret the decision of getting along with me, his hold tightens…
Shaan makes her turn towards him, sideways…
Shaan: Khanak I can't think of a life without you!! Khanak couldn't answer that, she gently cupped his face raised herself and pecked him on his forehead, slowly comes down, Shaan makes her sit on his lap, her legs crossed sideways, both are looking into each oter eyes, intensely, Shaan's hand is now on her waiste, pulls her towards him, Khanak shivers at his touch, Shaan slowly moves his face towards her, seeking her permission, she closes her eyes, raises her head and parts her lips, giving him permission, Shaan gets it, closes the distance between him and her, by slowly kisses her on her lips, he covers his lips on her lower lips, she arched her back, Shaan holds her tightly, Khanak's hand is holding his shoulders tightly….

Part 20 & 21

Part 20
Shaan is on time at school, he's waiting outside the school, a bunch of students come out, Shaan starts to search for Aayush, there he comes with his friends, Shaan is smiling at him, Aayush is surprised to see him, he bids his friends bye and moves towards him, broadly smiling…
Aayush: Shaan uncle!!! (Shaan picks him up)
Shaan: Hello champ!! How was your day??
Aayush: it was good, mom nahi aayi???
Shaan: kyun main nahi aa saktha…(moving towards car)
Aayush smiles sweetly at him. Both of them get into car, Shaan makes him safety by buckling his belt and puts his favourite music list, as it was Khanak's order…
Aayush: yeh toh meri favourite songs hai, aapko mom ne diya….
Shaan:yes!! Aur yeh bhi poochne ko kaha hai, ki aapne lunch kaya???
Aayush: nahi!!(sad) pata hai mom ne kitna pyaar se sandwiches banayatha, lekin voh sankalp (his friend) hai na sab kha liya …(sweetly pouts)
Shaan (smiles): koi baat nahi, kya kahoge bolo main khiladoonga…
Aayush: sach mein!! (excited) toh phir kya hum Mc D chal sakthe hai??? (asks sweetly)
Shaan: as you wish!!! Gears up the engine, both of them gets into Mc D, gets Aayush's favourite happy meal, in which he gets that toy, he's happy, both of them enjoys each other company….
On the other side, Khanak is tensed, she's outside the hall were conference had to take place, she's wondering whether Shaan reached or not, whether he picked Aayush or not, she wants to call, but its coming not reachable….. Raj and Dhruv enters…
Raj: kya hua?? Tum bahar kyun kadi ho??
Khanak: voh Aayush!! Shaan has not yet returned…
Dhruv: aa jayenge chill!! (cools her)
 Raj: u had your lunch na??? so that you get strength…
Dhruv: tumhe lagtha hai, she would have eaten…(shakes his head, as he knows her well)
Raj: kya?? Pagal ho gayi hai, kuch khaa lena, agar ghir gayi toh mein tujhe sambhalunga ya phir presentation ko, pehle si hi itni patli hai… (tensed)
Khanak is not bothered, she's looking outside, she knows where her strength lies…
Dhruv senses the tension, tries to ease her and also Raj!!!
Dhruv: Raj tu kaisa dost hai yaar, usne khaana nahi kaya, phir bhi tumhe presentation ki padi hai!! Che che kaisa dost hai, tumhari dost ki koi chintha nahi hai….(makes a face)
Raj is frustrated, he keeps quiet, Khanak once again tries to call him…
Dhruv: dekho aa gaye!! Khanak tuns to the way, she's relieved, even Raj relaxes, Dhruv disappears suddenly...
Khanak: itni dher!! Did you have lunch (to Aayush)
Aayush: yes!! (smiles, Shaan is holding him)
Khanak: aur Shaan tum??
Shaan: yes maam!!! (smiles)
Khanak: chalo chalet hai!! Dhruv returns, he's got a biscuit packet for her…
Dhruv: abb toh khaale, dono aagaye hai…(stressing on dono)
Aayush gets down, Shaan is shocked that she didn't have her lunch, Aayush pulls her to the side, takes biscuit from Dhruv. He makes her sit in one of the chairs placed outside…
Aayush: mujhe din mein chaar baar khiladiti ho, khud teek se nahi khaa thi ho (feeding her not allowing to talk, All 3 of them smiles at the relation they share)
Dhruv: (to Shaan) I heard that people from London have been invited…
Shaan: oh yaa?? I didn't know this (there's a tap on his shoulder from back, its some of his colleagues from London, Shaan's happy to see them, and some other people whom Shaan knew well, howabouts and hugs are exchanged, all are having a good talk going on…
They are informed to get inside, in the meanwhile, Aayush had fed her…Raj moves near her…
Raj: tumhara maa beta ka khatam ho gaya ho, toh andar chalein…
Khanak: nahi nahi!! Mein aur Aayush toh film dekhne jaa rahe hain, hai na Aayush??
Aayush nods in affirmation, Khanak giggles…
Dhruv: achcha kaunsa movie, main bhi saath chaltha hun (playing along)
Raj: guys this isn't funny!!
Khanak: Raj!! Chill everything will be alright (assures him, all of them smiles)
Shaan excuses himself from the group, joins them…
Shaan: is Aayush allowed inside?? (concerned)
Khanak: ya he's allowed, I spoke with the senior doctors, but he has to be silent…
Shaan: toh teek hai, he's going with him… (as a matter of fact)
Khanak: its ok Shaan, I think your busy (points to his friend circle, Raj and Dhruv move out to give them time)
Shaan: no Khanak!! Its ok Aayush won't be a problem!! Unless Aayush won't enjoy my company
 Aayush: mom its alright!! I'll go with Shaan uncle!! (Khanak smiles and agrees)
All of them enters the hall, conference goes smooth with lot of arguments and Raj and Khanak's presentation was well done, both of them had spoke confidently, and answered the questions asked by the senior doctors , some of them were not answered, as it's the same everytime, everytime we create a question and we don't have answers for ourselves, its ususal, but the people were impressed with their work.
Shaan was surprised at this talent of Khanak, a few hours before, she was having fun reading the lines, but now she had done a very good job, she could change her colours very well. On one side she was a caring and a loving mother of Aayush, on the other hand, she was a normal girl with all the excitement but yet keeping them in her limits, she was talkative; yes she would go to eternal bounds to make Aayush happy. She seems to be happy with her life, now that im(Shaan) included, we'll see how she's going to manage….
After the conference she had informed Dhruv that she's going to Shaan's house, Dhruv had teased her she had blowed it off, she had also requested him to take her car, he had agreed and left. Khanak and Aayush went to Khandelwal's house with Shaan, has dadi had called her in the morning…
In the car, trio had a good conversation, in no time they had reached his house. Harilal had opened the door. Akshay and Khushboo were waiting for Aayush, they informed Khanak that Dadi, Madhvi and Sunil had to go to poona, as some of their relative were not feeling good, and they would return back at the late night…
Aayush had forgotten about the fare thing, which Akshay had proised him, that he'll take Aayush. Khanak had no problem with that, but still she was tensed to send him alone, but she had to do that, as Shaan had asked her time for him, she was not feeling good to send him alone….
Khanak: Aayush, uncle auty ka haath math chodna, akele akele kai math jaana, agar uncle kisi cheez ke liye mana kar the ho tho, unki baat manna, and (she takes out an extra phone from her bag) yeh phone, im keeping this in your pocket, agar tum miss hogaye na, toh mujhe call karna ya phir uncle ko, teek hain… (worried)
Aayush hugs her, Khanak is not convinced with herself…
Aayush: mom don't worry I'll be fine…. Khanak's eyes filled with tears, she controls it, as it won't be good, she pecks him on his cheek and allows him to go with them, she requests them to take care about him… They left, Aayush had left smiling, that he's gonna have fun…
Shaan being concerned, Khanak if you want hum bhi unke saath jaa sakthe hai?? Khanak turns to him, she was not confident in sending Aayush, her mind screamed to her that, say yes!! But if she fail this, she would become more protective of Aayush, which could suffocate Aayush, she didn't wanted that, yes she was caring, but she wanted to give him his space, he had enjoyed being with them, if he was ok with that, may be she should learn that… She had grown into a mother,will not a mother think in the same way before living their child on their own…
Shaan: Khanak kya hua?? Kya soch rahi ho?? She clears her mind and gets back to herself or she tries to..
Khanak: kuch nahi!! Tum mujhe bhagane main kyu lage huye ho?? Do you have anyother date?? (tries to be mischief)
Shaan smiles at her, she will be the strongest, she won't be showing him her fear…
He had given off to the staff, now they are alone…
Shaan: toh start kare??? (getting naughty himself)
Khanak starts running, until you catch me, Shaan starts running behind her, noth of them are laughing and running, unless Shaan catches her, both of them land on the sofa, Shaan has held her hands at her back, both of them are sitting, Shaan is facing her back…
Shaan: mujhse hoshyaari ha??? (further twists, she yelps)
Khanak: sorry sorry!! Haa Shaan its hurting!!!
Shaan: oh really!! (makes her turn to face him, they are too close, her hands are still held by him, but their bodies are not touching, he slowly releases her hand, both of them are lost in each other eyes, Shaan brings one of his hand, touches her cheek, Khanak closes her eyes, relaxes herself in the touch as her heart was beating very fast, it might have skipped a beat or two…..
Shaan pecks her softly on her forehead, his face too close, she opened her eyes, both of them are looking at each other….. They are disturbed by her phone…
Shaan is frustrated, Khanak tucks her hair, takes the phone and looks at the caller…
Khanak: its Khushboo bhabhi…. (both of the shrug as they have no idea, they had just left now, what had made them call back…) Khanak receives it…
Khanak: haan bhabhi… (Shaan can hear only Khanak, he can see that her face had taken a worried look, she stood from the place, he can see that she was controlling herself from breaking down, she closes her eyes, with a confident look, she speaks into the phone)
Khanak: can you take him to the hospital, I'll be there (cuts the call, hearing the word hospital Shaan was terrified)
Khanak furiously takes her bag, her phone…
Shaan: Khanak!! Kya hua?? Hospital?? Kya hua??
Khanak: (takes a long breath, she's not meeting his eyes, she's looking in the front) Aayush has started shivering, his body temperature is raising, he's not responding (closes her eyes in horror) (looks at Shaan) I've to go to the hospital… Shaan nods and both of them leaves…


Part 21
Shaan was also tensed equally, but for some reason he found Khanak silent, she has not said a word after that, suddenly her cell rang, she received, its Dr. Lata, Lata had called her to ask where she was, she had told her she would reaching as possible as she can.
Shaan (is driving): Khanak, does Aayush is suffering… (slowly)
Khanak: he gets scared when he sees an accident or even if he hear a screech of any car…
Shaan: you should have told it na Khanak, we would have been careful with that…
Khanak: I thought he had got over it, but…
After that Shaan becomes silent as he senses that she wanted to remain silent…. They had reached hospital, Akshay and Khushboo were standing outside, they were tensed too, Khanak and Shaan went near them…
Khushboo: we are so sorry Khanak, pata nahi kya hua, she suddenly started to shiver, we didn't know what to do… (worried)
Khanak: its ok bhabhi, you don't have to ask sorry (holds her hand and assures her) is Dr. Lata inside?
Akshay: haan Khanak jab se andhar gayi, she's not yet come out… (worried too)
At that time nurse enterd and told they can see him, all of them entered, Aayush was on the bed, he was not pierced for IV fluids thankful to that, but he was kept warm.Khanak went and sat near him, holded his hand, which was now warm… Aayush opened his eyes he was happy to see his mom beside him…
Aayush: Mom!! Aap aagaye!! (his eyes lit up) Khanak keeps her palm on his cheek..
Khanak: I think I never left you!! (smiles)
Aayush: mom can I get a hug!! Khanak smiles at him, he slowly gets up, she hugs him, she caresses his head…. Shaan, Akki, boo witness this and are relieved that he's normal now… Khanak moves out of the hug, cups his face…
Khanak: kya hua Aayush?? Did you hear a car screech?? Aayush nods sweetly…
Khanak: You saw them getting scared?? Aayush nods in affirmation…
Khanak: Mom Dad ki yaad aayi?? (her Bhaiyya and Bhabhi)
Aayush: nahi!! Aapki yaad aayi!! (Khanak hugs him tightly, her tears come out, which she had controlled for a long time, she wipes it furiously, as she didn't wanted him to know that even she was scared by his action…
Aayush looks at Akki and boo, they are smiling at him, he releases himself…
Aayush: Sorry uncle, aunty, mere wajah se…
Khushboo: arrey nahi, if your doing well that's enough for us (smiles)
Aayush: Mom mujhe bhook lagi hai… Khanak checks the intercom, it was not working properly. She moves out with Dr. Lata, Shaan follows them. Shaan is beside Khanak…
Lata: Khanak u know what he's going through…
Khanak: yes!! But you had assured that he was fine…
Lata: (stops for  a minute, even Khanak and Shaan stops) Khanak I found him fine because you were with him for all 24 hours, now I don't think so he's  getting so much time from you… Khanak look, im not telling you to spend all 24 hrs with him, but he needs you at some time, so please take care… (she leaves)
Khanak was shattered, she sits down on the chair shattered, a lone tear escaped from her eye… Shaan being caring, seats himself next to her, keeps a hand on her shoulder…
Shaan: Khanak sab kuch teek ho jayega…
Khanak: I was so wrong Shaan!! I thought he needed some space, but he just waned me, and he didn't even tell me (chokes up, tears flow freely) pata hai Shaan, when this used happen when im around, he used to close his eyes tightly, but his confident lied in me, and I didn't even get that, im such a horrible mother, main Aayush ki zaroorat nahi samjhpayi, you had told that we can join them, but i… (tears flowing easily, which she had holded upon) How ridiculous is that… (covers her face with her hands)
Shaan: Khanak!! Calm down… look at me (makes her look at him, her eyes have become red) you're a good mother, issliye Aayush believes in you, iss baar galathi hogayi, but next time we shouldn't make it happen, we'll take care…(holds her hand and assures her) Khanak looks up at him, he's smiling, she smiles in between her tears and nods…
Khanak: lekin Shaan, this is not proper, I can't allow him to get scared, each time he gets on the road (worried)
Shaan: that's right!! Don't worry we'll think about something… Khanak nods, but she's in deep thought.
Shaan: toh Aayush ke liye kuch khaane ko le chalein???
Khanak smiles and tells the nurse to bring him soup. They both returns to the ward.Sunil, Madhvi and Dadi had come over to the hospital, to see Aayush, Aayush is smiling and laughing with them…
Khanak thanks them for coming, Aayush's soup also comes, Aayush refuses to eat… All the Khandelwal's decide to give them privacy but not Shaan… They leave but Shaan decides to stay the night with them, he seats himself on the chair, in the room…
Khanak convinces Aayush to eat, while eating he starts to talk animatedly, making Khanak and Shaan laugh. She gave him the medicine, which was prescribed by Lata, he takes it, and sleeps holding her hand, Khanak sits near his pillow, she's caressing his head, pecks him on his forehead…
Suddenly, Shaan places a plate in front of her, which had sandwiches in it. Khanak looks at him with a confused expression, Shaan is smiling. Khanak slowly places Aayush's hand down, oves away from him with Shaan, to not disturb him…
Shaan: Khanak kuch khalo, tumne afternoon se teek se kuch kaya nahi hai…
Khanak makes a face for eating the sandwich, she's about to tell him that she's not hungry, but…
Shaan (cuts in): nahi koi bahana nahi chalega… Makes her eat forcefully, Khanak gives him another sandwich, both of them eat silently…
Shaan: toh mera dinner date kaisa laga?? (whispers)
Khanak: bahut bura tha!! (she goes towards Aayush and seats herself next to him and dozes off to sleep)
Shaan smiles at her, looks at her and Aayush, till now they were not guarded but from now on I(Shaan) promise to be with them in all joys and sorrows (promises silently)
Morning, Aayush was discharged, Khanak and Shaan took him home, there he was welcomed by Khanak's friends…
Dhruv (takes Aayush from Khanak's arms): arrey Aayush kya hogaya aapko?? Shaayad aapki mom paranta nahi bana rahi hai, issliye aap shaayad kamzor hogaya ho… Even Misha and Raj agrees with him, Shaan is standing at look at them, Khanak shakes her head at her friends, but she's happy that Aayush was back to normal…. She's about to go in, but Aayush calls her…
Aayush: mom aapne promise kiya tha, that you'll take me out...(Aayush comes down from Dhruv's arms, he takes Khanak's hand and seats himself on the couch, makes Khanak also sits, all are looking at the duo)
Khanak: ok!! (slowly) where do you want to go… Aayush smiles naughtily amd looks at all of them with the same smile. All of them are confused…
Aayush: farmhouse!!! Khanak's friends all break into broad smile…
Misha: wohi farmhouse na which is 2hrs from Mumbai, and its filled with greenery (excited)
Raj: arrey haan!! How can we forget that place, Khanak's parents used to arrange diwali parties na!! it was so much fun!!
Dhruv: I tho love the roads, ek traffic bhi nahi, aur zyaada vehicles bhi nahi honge, haan Khanak!! Lets go na, if its not diwali then no problem but still we can have a get together party!! (all perked up)
Khanak smiles slowly, as something struck her, Shaan is just looking at everyone's expressions, She agrees to it, Shaan can see that she's broadly smiling, he gets the message that, something was cooking in her mind, and he doesn't have any idea….
Its Khanak's time to smile mischievously….

Part 18 & 19

Part 18

Khandelwal's had left after the dinner, they've reached back home. Shaan is very happy'
Shaan: mom dad, aapse kuch baat karni thi'
Sunil: haan beta bolo.. (all of them are seated in living hall)
Shaan: Dad Mom' I' ve decided to get married'
All of them are shocked, Sunil and Dadi are not'
Sunil: Aur woh ladki Khanak hai' (smiling, Dadi is also smiling)
Shaan: yes dad!! (broadly smiling)
Madhvi: Khanak!! Omg Shaan!! Sunil tumhe pata tha??
Sunil: mujhe maa ne bataaya' All were happy with his decision, Madhvi had hugged him for his decision, Akshay and Khushboo were equally excited, Dadi promised him that she'll talk to Khanak about marriage'
Khanak, is in her room, standing in front of  her parents photo'
Khanak: Dad Mom im so happy today, I wish ki aaj aap mere saath hothe,  koi problem nahi abhi bhi mujhe lagtha hai ki aap log mere saath ho, aap mere saath ho na'(A sudden knock at the door, her friends are staying at her house)
She opens the door, its Raj'
Raj: did you get the message???
Khanak: what message??? (comes out of the room)
Raj: woh conference jo ek hafte ke baad hone wala tha, its going to be on tommorow's afternoon' (yells)
Khanak (shocked): are you sure??
Raj: damn sure!!  And one more thing, we were working on two different things, but now we'll be working on the same topic!!
Khanak: Raj, I'ne done only half part yaar!
Dhruv: arrey kya hua?? They explain to him everything, she assures him that he'll help. All are seated in hall, even Misha and Aayush, both of them are watching cartoon'
Khanak phone rings, she receives with it without seeing the caller'
Khanak: hello??
Shaan: hello!! Can I talk to Dr. Khanak, who's soon gona become, Dr. Khanak Shantanu Khandelwal!!!
Khanak blushes at the mention of her name!!
Shaan: haaye haaye!! Blush kar rahi ho' (Khanak smiles).
Raj stares at her as she was not doing her work' She looks at him apologetically..
Khanak: Dr. Shaan, good you called, Raj bhi yahi hai, voh kya hai, kal afternoon conference hai na' (hinting him)
Shaan: conference?? Oh ya I got the message now!! So you are wih him now??
Khanak: haan!! Dhruv aur Misha bhi hai!!!
Shaan: oohh!! So your burning night oil???
Khanak: I think so!! (into her books)
Shaan: yeh tumhare friends kab tak rukhenge??
Khanak: Shaan!! They are my friends!!
Shaan: yeh sab abb teek hai Khanak, shaadi ke baad I won't tolerate'(hides a smile)
Khanak: Shaan!! (smiling) ok abb mein rakthi hun haan , nahi toh Raj mujhe nahi chodega'
Shaan: apne doston ke liye, mujhe door kar rahi ho' (mock upset)
Khanak: nahi Shaan!! You know how much important that conference is, right?? (sincere)
Shaan: relax Khanak!! I was kidding, achcha listen, are you free in afternoon??
 Khanak: I don't know, kal subah tak presentation ready ho jayega toh, yes im free!! Kyun??
Shaan: I thought, can we both of them, go on a lunch date???
Khanak smiles'
Shaan: smile karne se kuch nahi hoga!! (smiles) Im waiting Khanak!!
Raj is ready to kill her, Dhruv is trying to control his laughter'
Khanak: (clears her throat) Shaan, I'll meet you tomorrow!!
Shaan: teek hain, I'll wait' Both of them smiles and cuts off the phone'
Raj: ho gaya tumhaara' abb kuch kaam kare' Dhruv can't control laughs out loud, Khanak hits him with a cushion'
Khanak: Raaj yaar chill!!! Once again pour themselves into their lappy's and books'


Part 19

A beautiful morning, she had not slept whole night even Raj, now she's made Aayush ready, she has promised Raj that she'll be at the college early, as conference was held on college…Dadi had called her in the morning, and had asked her to come home, Khanak had wondered, but she had agreed. Now she's droven the car into Aayush's school. She picks hi up, before leaving into his class…
Khanak: Aayush Im really sorry… im not giving you time, but I promise after this presentation… (Aayush stops)
Aayush: mom!! I know you're the best mom in the world… but yes you have to promise to take out…
Khanak: I promise!! She pecks him on his cheek and leaves him into his school. She goes back….
She's in her college campus, remembering  her golden memories, she had now enterd her favourite place in her college, its an amphi theatre, she and her friends use to spend their time in amphi lot, doing birthday parties, preparing for their exams, everything, now today she's back at the same place, her life had changed lot but she's still the same… She clears her mind, to prepare for presentation, Raj and Dhruv had gone to meet Lata, to know whether anything should be added or not. They had completed the whole presentation by morning 5….
She keeps her laptop on the stairs, she's standing, she opens it. Someone is coming near her from the back, she has no idea…… Someone hugs her from back, she's startled, when she touches the hand in shock, she recognizes that hand, she relaxes…..
Khanak: Shaan!! I was about you kick you very badly… (giggles)
Shaan: kick!! I thought you would yell out…. (still hugging her)
Khanak releases herself from the hug, comes in front of him….
Khanak: Hello Shaan!! (Smiles sweetly)
Shaan: haaye!! Agar har subah itna good hotha toh kitna achcha hotha!! (keeping his right hand on his heart, playfully)
Khanak: not bad!! Achche baat karlete ho… now im having doubt… (mock serious)
Shaan: doubt???
Khanak: yes!! Now I have feeling that… (shaan is waiting) kahi tumhara pehle hi kisi aur ladki ke saath you know…. (slowly)
Shaan: Khanak, how many times I've cleared that… (digusted, turns away from her)
Khanak: (feels sorry, comes in front of him) sorry baba, I was just joking!!! (shrugs)
Shaan: toh main kab serious tha!! (smiles, moves closer to her, Khanak panics and moves back)
Khanak: Shaan what are you doing??
Shaan: you know it!! Still moves closer, she backs off until she hits the stairs, she sits down, Shaan is leaning down… Shaan tucks her hair which was flowing in the air, their faces are inches away…
Shaan: Khanak!! I consider myself lucky!!! Khanak is nervous to ask anything….
Shaan: because I've found you in my life!! Shaan is too close for her…
Suddenly, they hear voices, Shaan closes his eyes in frustration, Khanak smiles and gets out.Its Dhruv and Raj…
Dhruv: Hey kandy all set? Oh Dr. Shaan!!! (smiles at Khanak)
 Even Raj wishes him, Shaan seats himself on the stairs, as Raj and Khanak are going to rehearse for ppt, Dhruv is standing in front and is helping them. Most of the time Khanak and Dhruv are laughing, Raj is used to their actions, he's calm, as heknow that this helps Khanak in remembering her lines very well, he had got to know about her Shaan and Khanak's relationship, he was happy for her…. Misha had gone out, she had promised to pick Aayush…. Shaan watches how she easily gels with them, he need had to search for her in her college, as everyone knew where she was, he just add to search for Amphi theatre….
Shaan gesticulates her, that he wanted to talk, as Raj and Dhruv were arguing, she easily gets off…
Shaan: what did you decide for lunch date???
Khanak is hesitant….
Shaan: ghar toh aa rahi ho na??? Khanak smiles and nods in affirmation…
Shaan: ok then dinner sirf aur sirf mera saath!!!(winks at her)
Khanak: aur Aayush???
Shaan: kyun tumhe pata nahi hai, that he's going out with Akshay bhaiyya and Khushboo bhabhi….
Khanak: seriously?? Aayush never told me… Her cell phone rings its Misha, she receives she gets to know that Misha won't be able to pick Aayush, she panicks… Shaan promises her that he'll pick him up..
Khanak: are you sure???
Shaan: Khanak!! Im sure (assure her) Shaan leaves or so she thinks. She turns back to look at Dhruv and Raj, they are still arguing, Khanak shakes her head, suddenly, Shaan pecks on her cheek, Khanak gasps loudly, Shaan runs out from there….
Dhruv: tumhe kya hogaya?? (to K)
Khanak shakes her head in no!! rubs her cheek…

Part 17- confession part

Part 17

The party is arranged in banquet hall, which was in her aapartment surroundings. All of them from her apartment were invited.Her friend Misha had come from Australia, Misha is married. They were meeting after 2yrs, she was excited to see her. She's wearing a blue anarkhali dress, which is sleeveless, and the top is below her knee, her hair is left in curls, with minimal make up she's looking gorgeous' Aayush had dressed well, as it was his mamma's choice, he's wearing red t-shirt with a coat, she pecks him on his cheek, as he's the most hansdsome boy for her. She was told that her friends were giving her surprise, she had no idea, but yes she's eagerly waiting for it. And yes she's waiting for a person, who has become special in her life without her knowledge'.
Shaan and his family has reached,he's wearing white shirt with black blazer and dark blue jeans, cleanly shaven, some of his hairs falling on his forehead, he's searching for her. He can see Dhruv and Raj with a girl. Dhruv, Raj and Misha moves towards him,Misha is introduced to him, and he introduces them to his family. Introductions are made...
Sunil: arrey birthday girl kaha hai??
Misha: yahin to thi!! (Everyone looks around) She enters with Aayush, smiling, Shaan is bowled by her smile. Everyone wishes her, she hugs Khushboo and Madhvi and takes blessings from dadi'Aayush is also greeted by everyone, Shaan smiles at Khanak, Khanak returns the smile' They are disturbed by a voice; all of them turn towards the voice, its Dhruv, accompanied by Raj and Misha.
Dhruv: Hello everyone present here, thanks for coming, please bless our Khanak, ki use thoda akal de, u know brains.. (everyone laughs, Khanak gives him a look like, tum kabhi nahi sudhroge)
Dhruv: ok sorry, I was joking, hamari jo Khanak hai, humne use naam diya tha laughing doll, but I don't think that name suits her now, voh kya hai, smile zaroor karthi hai, lekin teek se hasna bhool gayi hai'
Misha: sorry haan, bahut lecture deta hain (dhruv gives her a really!! Look) Dhruv jo surprise hai use dikhana'
Dhruv: ok fine!! Khanak humne, matlab, mein,Raj aur Misha, ek aisi tasweer de rahe hai, jismi hamari Khanak ki voh hassi, jo uski aankhon mein dikta tha, use voh de rahe hai, taake whenever she sees the photo, it reminds of us' They hands her a large photo, which is covered by gift cover. She opens it with a smile, she's happy to see the photo
Her eyes is filled with tears, there's a group hug' Shaan smies at the bonding they share'
She thanks her friends. She's really happy, she has the same smile as in the photo for her friends'
They hear another voice, this time its Shaan's voice'
Shaan: Sorry guys for disturbing, mein Khanak ko itni achchi tarike se nahi jaante hun, lekin phir bhi yeh zaroor keh saktha hun, ki voh aap sab ki liye kitni special hai' A very very Happy Birthday Khanak!!!
Khanak smiles and whispers thank you!! Party is full on, Aayush is enjoying happily with everyone. Khanak stands away from them she looks at everyone, everyone's smile. She remembers her family, they wouldn't have thrown such a huge party, she would never wanted that, she would have wished them to be with her. That's how her birthday was celebrated, only with her family, now she's standing here in the middle of so many people, whom she knows well, who believes in her, now they've become a part of her life. She knows that, all of them love her a lot, they've shown her the love, she was carving, they had taken care of her and Aayush. She had considered herself lucky,to meet such good people in her life'
Shaan notices her standing away from the group, he moves towards her slowly.
Shaan: kya hua Khanak??
Khanak: kuch nahi!! Thanks for coming (smiles at him)
Shaan: Khanak mere saath baahar chalogi??
Khanak: baahar??
Shaan: Khanak trust me!!! (sincerely)
Something about that sincerely, Khanak easily nods, both of them walks out, Dhruv notices, he's a good friend of her, he cares for her, he silently follows them. Shaan brings her out of the crowd, it seems to be like garden, it's a full moon night, its cold. Khanak has no idea why Shaan has brought her out. Shaan stands in front of her, they are about 3 feet away'
Shaan: Khanak im not sure, whether its correct time or not..(takes a long breathe)
Shaan: Khanak!! Tu voh ladki ho, jiske saath mein apne saari zindagi bitaana chahtha hun' (Khanak is shocked, seeing her expression; Shaan moves forwards and holds both of her hands in his hands)
Shaan: Khanak!! I know its too early for you to decide, but I promise you I'll give all the happiness you deserve and yes I know that your happiness lies in  Aayush, Im ready to accept him in my life, mujhe Aayush se koi problem nahi hogi, infact I'll consider myself lucky to look after him' Khanak,u said its attraction, but I guess my feeling has moved way far from it'
Shaan: Khanak!!!! I Love You!!! (her hands starts getting still more cold, her fingers start to tremble, Shaan can feel that)
Shaan: Khanak!! I seriously love you!! Pata hai jab ek din tumhe dektha nahi hun, toh aisa lagtha yeh ki, I've missed something important in my life, that whole day I'll be so annoyed, you can't even imagine' I just wish to see your face every morning, I don't want anything from you, I just want you by my side, I want you to be m  y strength, I just want you in my life forever'.

Khanak: This is the best day of my life!!!
Shaan: mine too!!!  (still engulfed)
Dhruv is watching all this, he's happy for her, yes it hurts for him, but he had grown since when she had walked ouy of his relation, he's happy that she still consider him as a friend. He had seen her smiling like before in front of Shaan. He had heard about him, with Raj, he had got to know that Shaan was quite famous and a good doctor. Dhruv also liked Shaan's family a lot. He's sure now that her friend will be happy!!! He had proposed her, because he liked her a lot, and she knew him very well, how can anyone not like her!! He smiles, shakes his head and leaves from there'
After sometime, Khanak releases herself from hug. Khanak is shy, she's looking down. Shaan rubs his hand on the hair at nape of his neck. Shaan looks down, cups her face and makes her look at him

Khanak: lekin Shaan, I don't want that boyfriend and girlfriend relationship'(worried)
Shaan: Khanak, im talking about marriage, main aaj hi mom dad se baat karta hun!! (promises)
Khanak smiles and moves away from him. Shaan grins and oves towards her, her back towards him.
Shaan: waise Khanak, I said I Love You!! Don't you think you should reply??? (smiles naughtily)
Khanak is still a hard nut, she turns back to him confidently, arms crossed in front of her'
Khanak: itni jaldi no way Shaan!! You have to wait (smiles gloriously) and turns back to leave'
Shaan: haaye kitna intezaar karvaaiyegi!!! (places his hand on his heart, playfully)
Khanak turns back smiling, Khanak: abb chalein!!!
Shaan: ek minute Khanak!! No problem I'll wait for you, but promise me that you won't move with anyother guy (Khanak is confused) mera matlab yeh hai ki, you can look at them, you can talk but not more than that!!
Khanak: your impossible!!! (shakes her head)
Shaan: I know!! Both of them smiles and moves towards the hall'
As they enter the hall, light gets dimmed, both of them looks around.
Dhruv: guys its time for some dance, why can't we have a couple dance??!!
Shaan is smiling hearing the word couple's dance. Khanak is confused, who's gonna do a couple dance in a birthday party'
Dhruv: ok now lets start with couples, obviously husbands wives ke saath dance karenge, agar aap logon ke paas girlfriends hai toh mein kuch nahi kar sakta (everyone laughs) now coming to singles, let start with Khanak (K is surprised) (Dhruv comes near Khanak, puts his hand on her elbow, like a side hug) lets see, how about Shaan?? Khanak!! (Shaan is excited) (Dhruv slowly in her ears, im happy for you Khanak, Khanak looks at him, he smiles and slowly moves her towards Shaan) enjoy guys!! (he leaves)

Khanak releases herself from hug, she's very very happy to see him
Aayush: Happy birthday mom!!!
Khanak: (hugs him) thanks a lot!!
Dhruv:  dekha maine kaha than a this time I'll be there… Khanak smiles broadly, they are standing very close and this is irking for someone. All of them come forward and wishes her on her birthday. Shaan not to be left out…
Shaan: Happy birthday Khanak!! (with a smile)
Khanak: Thanks!!
Shaan: u never told…
Dhruv: woh aise hi hai.. sorry, lekin aap kaun hai??
Raj: arrey Dhruv, yeh Dr. Shaan hai, hamare hospital mein hai, aur haan Khanak ka guide hai…
Dhruv: Khanak ne bataaya tha, aapke bare mein, nice to meet you (extends his hand)
Shaan (shakes his hand): same here. I think I should leave now…
Khanak is about to stop him but…Dhruv: ek minute, sab log suno, aaj raat Khanak ki birthday ki liye I've organized a party, so I request everyone to attend aur haan Shaan bring your family aahh… Shaan nods to it…
Khanak: mujhe koi party nahi chaiyiye…
Dhruv: Kandy, u just sit, abb jo bhi hoga, voh mein karoonga (makes her sit) Raj ur ready?? Ok Shaan will meet you in the evening!! Shaan just nods. All of them leave the place, except Shaan and Khanak..
Khanak (gets up): Dhruv listen (he's not there to listen)

Khanak (turns towards him): Shaan, what do you wanted me to say, that its my birthday, I really don't believe that… (she's stopped)

Shaan has got nothing to talk, he's standing still. Khanak continues, I had entrance exams, issliye it was decided that after a year, meri aur Dhruv ki shaadi sab fixed hogaya tha, aur ek din, my fate, which had told me that I've lost that happiness forever in my life… She's silent, her eyes are slowly filling up
Shaan: kya hua tha?? (her last sentence making him ask)
Khanak: it was suppose to be the most happiest day in my life, I had left with my family to the place where mine and Dhruv's engagement was suppose to take place, I seriously don't know what happened in the way, everything was so dizy to me jab meri aankh khuli, I saw Dhruv by my side, and I was told that ki… (her voice is lost, as tears falls freely from her eyes) Shaan feels helpless, he wanted to be with her on that day, when she had needed someone, but why Dhruv??
Khanak: Dhruv never let go of me, he took care of me, he was my strength after my parents, actually he's still my strength…
Shaan: are you still in a relationship with Dhruv??
Khanak: no!! but he's still my best friend!!
Shaan: why?? I mean aisa kya hua??
Khanak: Aayush mere life mein bahut important hai, I can't think of life without Aayush…
Shaan: Khanak I know that…
Khanak: Dhruv ki mom ne Aayush ko accept karne se ana kar diya tha and I had walked out of the relationship, 2yrs back, because of this Dhruv was hurt, I had to do that, it was left to me, I had to decide between Aayush and Dhruv...I think I decided… meri liye itna aasaan nahi tha, lekin Dhruv, he wanted to be at my side he was ready to leave his family, I made him go back to his family, till now he and his mom won't talk properly, I seriously didn't wanted this, mera aisa koi iraada nahi tha, I seriously didn't wanted to do this, I….

Khanak: no Shaan!! Its impossible, koi bhi nahi manega, I don't want anything except Aayush in my life, im happy with him, and I had made Dhruv promise that he and me will be good friends, like our childhood… We are just friends…
Shaan: Tumhare matlab hai, you don't want me also in your life??
Khanak: I really don't know Shaan, I seriously don't know where this attraction take us, its all left to you, I won't be having any problem with your decision…




Part 16

Khanak is standing in front of him, her head bent down. Shaan had felt sudden feeling of hugging her and ensure her that he would never let go of her. He was confirm that it was just not attraction between them, he had seen his feelings growing, he was sure that he's so madly in love with her. His first attraction towards a girl had changed to love… His first love, Khanak. She'll be the first and last girl in his life…
Shaan moved closer to say it to her. Dhruv enters…
Dhruv: Kandy tum yahan ho, kandy please voh paranta bana de na, bahut bhook lagi hai (he holds her hand and pulls her out, this irks Shaan, but silently follows them) They are in kitchen now.
Shaan: tum dono ek doosre ko kab se jaante ho?? (curious) Khanak is about to answer…
Dhruv: when Khanak was 6, hai na Khanak(Khanak nods) our first meet, actually I had shifted near her house… (smiles fondly at her) (Shaan thinks what was he doing at that time)
Khanak is busy with her atta and her running thoughts in mind about Shaan…
Shaan: nice (not smiling)
Dhruv: aur pata hai Shaan, I was the first one in Khanak's life…(shaan thinks, so what but I'll be there with her forever)
Dhruv: aur Khanak hamari first date yaad hai?? (playfully)
Shaan: date??? (looks at Khanak, she doesn't have any expression)

Dhruv: agar mein apni aur tumhare relationship ke bare mein serious hota tho, mom aise nahi karti, forget it… pata hai Khanak, I did that to make u jealous (smiles)
Khanak: how mean Dhruv!! Waise I didn't feel jealous, bcoz I know you well… (shrugs)
Dhruv: then why did you leave?? Wait kyun nahi kiya??
Shaan: you walked out??!!!
Khanak: yes I did!! What do you wanted me to do, sit their and wait for you?? Ooohhh Im not that kind of girl. Shukar manao maine apna dad ko nahi bataya!!
Dhruv: pata hai pata hai!! Aur sunn voh parante mein…
Khanak: pata hai extra butter!!
Shaan: Khanak mere liye bhi paranta, but no butter!!
Aayush come running, mom mera waala kaha hai???
Khanak: sorry guys, my first attention is towards Aayush (gives him his plate, he takes it runs off)
Dhruv shows mock upset and Shaan smiles.
Dhruv: mujhe laga tha I was the first one in your life… Khanak shrugs.
Khanak: priorities change my dear!!
Shaan and Dhruv waits, Khanak brings 2 plates in front of them, she offers them, both of them take. Dhruv is happy that she still give importance to him in her life, Shaan is also happy that even he's important in her life…
After that Shaan had left promising that he'll back in evening with his family. Khanak and Dhruv are seated, they are sipping their coffee. Aayush has gone out for playing…
Dhruv: Khanak don't you think its early??
Khanak: what??
Dhruv: u know tumhara aur Shaan ka??
Khanak: yes I agree its early, but the thing is we are clear about her feelings, I don't know where it takes us, but we are just flowing… I don't know…
Dhruv: chill!! Main hoo na !! (winks at her)
Khanak: Dhruv tum bhi na… waise yeh bataao tumhe koi ladki pasand aayi ki nahi aayi??
Dhruv: actually mein yeh soch raha tha (with a mescheivous look, moves closer to her)
Khanak: ha ha ha, very funny!! (she runs off and throws a cushion at him, both friends fight like that for sometime, after sometime, both of them sits exhausted)
Dhruv: Khanak im happy for you!!! Khanak smiles…
Shaan is back at his home, he's informed to his family, that it was Khanak's birthday, all are excited. Khushboo and Madhvi goes for shopping to buy her a gift. Shaan is in his room, Dadi enters…
Shaan: Dadi!!! Aapko kuch chaiyiye tha??
Dadi: meri bare mein chodo, toh what have you planned to gift Khanak?? (seats herself on the couch, Shaan seats himself on bed, opposite to Dadi)
Shaan: no idea Dadi!! Uppar se uka dost bhi aagaya hai, aur tension bada di meri (frustrated)
Dadi: kaunsa dost??
Shaan: who Dhruv, dadi…
Dadi: Dhruv!! Aagaya??
Shaan: haan!! Aapko kaise pata??
Dadi: haan Khanak ne bataaya mujhe!!
Shaan: usne aapko sab bataadiya!!
Dadi: haan!! Abb voh sab chodo socho kya gift doge..
Shaan: kamal hai yaar mujhse pehle uske bare mein sab jaante hai, aisa lagtha hai, main hi last hun!! Forget it!! Aap hi batao na dadi…
Dadi: tum use apna pyaar ka izhaar kar do!!
Shaan: dadi, bahut jaldi nahi ho jayega??
Dadi: arrey Shaan, jab pyaar hai, toh intezaar kyun??
Shaan: baat toh teek hai!! Lekin…
Dadi: lekin wekin kuch nahi!! Tumhe use aaj hi kehna hoga!!
Shaan smiles at his dadi and decides to tell her that he's madly in love with her…

Part 13 & 14

Part 13

Khanak first searches the room, Shaan is not there, she slowly steps in, she keeps the bowl on the table, a strong swift of air hits her face, she looks in the direction. She can see his back, she walks near him, with a smile on her face'
Khanak: hmm bura laga??
Shaan turns around, nahi!! Mujhe kyun bura lagega (sarcastic)
Khanak: aap jaise dikhte ho na waisa bilkul nahi hai (she enters into room back)
Shaan is confused, follows her, matlab???
Khanak: matlab kuch nahi, aap yah kheer khalo, aah aunty ne aapko dinner keliye bulaaya hai'
Turns around to move out, Shaan holds her elbow, time stands for Khanak, but Shaan is in the mood of argument.
Shaan: kya kuch nahi, tumhe lagta hai mein darpok hon??? Khanak back into argument'
Khanak: aur nahi toh kya, sochkar bhi hassi aati hai (giggles)
Shaan: bass hogaya ha (moves closer) due to the strong swift of air, Khanak's hair starts flowing, time stands still for both of them, both of them are inches apart, their eyes are locked. Shaan's hand is drawn towards her hair, he feels it for the first time, he had a wish of feeling it under his fingers, which was fulfilled now' He tucks her errant curl behind her ear, Khanak bend her head due to her shyness, a small playing on her lips but Shaan's face has got some serious expression, he's looking intently towards her'
Due to the strong air, window door starts banging, both of them come back to the earth'
Khanak (back into argument) : aap mere haath baarr baarr pakadna chodhdije hein'
Shaan releases her hand, as though it stung to him, tum toh aise baat kar rahi ho, jaise mein jaan buchar kartha hun, yeh sab tumhari wajhase hua hain, jab bhi mein tumse baat karna chahtha hun, tab tab tum bhaag jhati ho' She's about to reply, but'
Aayush: Mom uncle aap log kitna ladthe ho, uff'   Shaan and Khanak are shocked
Aayush: abb chalo dono, mujhe bhook lagi hain'
All three of them joins the family for dinner. There is lot of laughter at the dinner table, more talking, and after dinner Aayush wishes to sleep with dadi, Khanak doesn't have any problem with that, she just smiles'
Shaan is unable to sleep, he's tossing and turning on his bed. He gets up and walks out of his room, he strodes towards swimming pool. There he can see Khanak, sitting on the chair besides swimming pool'
Shaan: (to himself) Khanak!! Itni raat ko kya kar rahi hai' (smiles and moves towards her)
Khanak is laughing at some video playing on her lappy, Shaan is standing next to her.
Shaan: Khanak!! Itni raat ko kya kar rahi ho?? Aur woh bhi pool ke side pe??
Khanak: Shaan!!! You didn't sleep (smiles) come sit' (makes place for him to sit next to her, Shaan sits next to her ) Shaan you haven't seen my family na, yeh video, mom dad ki 25^th anniversary per li thi, pata hai Shaan, uss party ke liye meine aur bhai ne itni arrangements ki thi, aur mom dad ko itna pasand diya tha (her eyes is sparkling, Shaan smiles at her and watches the video and the photos which she's showing with a smile on her face)
Shaan: you look good in these photos' abb dekho kitni pathli hogayi ho(looking at her)
Khanak: (looking at screen) woh issliye kyun ki main apni mom dad ke saath ho, mom jab thin a, she actually used to run behind me to make me eat, pata hai Shaan (looking at him) mom mujhe din mein chaar chaar baar khilathi thi, aur dad bhi, bhai hamesha mujhpe hassthe the' (smiles remembering her memories)
Shaan: you really miss them a lot?? (looking at her thoughtfully)
Khanak: nahi!! (looks at him)
Shaan: u don't miss them??
Khanak: aisa nahi Shaan, mom dad ne mujhe itni yaadein di hein, I can survive with that, aur Aayush tho hai he, whenever I see Aayush smile and laughs, I feel contented, its like I've fulfilled their dreams, mein Aayush woh sab kuch dena chahthi hu, which he deserves' Mom Dad, mere andhar rehte hain, Mom Dad mere aaspass hai, aur Bhaiyya bhabhi toh Aayush ki hassi mein hain, jab who log meri zehem si bahar hi nahi gaye toh, there's nothing to miss them (looking faraway)
Shaan: Khanak!! You're the strongest girl I've ever met' Khanak smiles.
Khanak: Dad ne mujhe strong bana diya tha, he had taught me to live a life in a busy city like Mumbai, Mere parents iss duniya ke best parents the' one thing bad about me, is'
Shaan: bad??
Khanak: yes bad!! They've made me adamant' (shakes her head)
Shaan: its not bad!!
Khanak: you've haven't seen it (smiles)
Shaan: ok!! Aur batao??
Khanak: kya??
Shaan: tumhare bare mein.. you know your favourites, if you had boyfriend or not?? (stressing on boyfriend)
Khanak: nice try!! Ok food mein mujhe gujrati food bahut achchi lagthi hai, mom banathi thi, I used to love it' Boyfriend?? No I never had one, but yes I agree to that I had crush, actually still have a crush (naughty smile)
Shaan: aur who kaun hai??
Khanak : Ok (suppressing her laughter) it was , no actually it is ENRIQUE IGLESIAS, pata hai Shaan jab bhi who gaata hai, mann kartha hai ki suntha hi jao, oohh ijust love him singing' (dreamy)
Anger is raising in Shaan' Shaan: nice to know'
Khanak laughs openly' Khanak: Shaan!! (still laughing) u look funny!!! Aur cute bhi (laughing)
Shaan looks at her laughing, he's mesmerized by her beauty'

They are disturbed by her phone, her phone shows video calling, Khanak is excited seeing the caller, she excuses herself, she receives the call…
Khanak: Hey mish, itne dino ke baad, how are you?? Sab kaisa hai? I seriously can't believe u called me? (gushes into the phone, she can see her best friend)
Misha: hey khanak chill!! Abb bolne bhi degi, haan sab teek hai, aur mein bhi teek hun, aur tu kaisi hai?? Aur Raj??
 Khanak: mish, sorry ya, itne dino ke baad tumse baat kar rahi hun na, issliye…
Misha: Khanak tum bhi na, you haven't changed a bit… Both of them giggle and talk for sometime… Shaan is watching everything with a smile. After sometime she ends the call, she come back to him and sits next to him…
Khanak: sorry, actually she stays in Australia, issliye itna unusual hour pe call agaya…
Shaan: how many friends do you have??
Khanak: I used to talk to everyone, but mere teen dost bahut khareeb hain…
Shaan: naam??
Khanak: ek raj hai, u know, and misha with whom I just spoke, and the last one actually he's the first one and that's Dhruv… Raj aur mish, they were in my batch, Dhruv was my senior, actually bestest friend I've ever got…
Shaan: Dhruv?? Where is he now??
Khanak: Dhruv is staying in San Francisco… haan mere bare mein bahut baat hogayi, abb aapki baari hain, tell me about your London life (all perked up)
Shaan: mere life mein aisa kuch nahi tha, yes I used to talk to people par mera ekbest friend, he's Samar. He's still in London…
Khanak: aur girlfriends?? (naughty smile)
Shaan: Khanak tumhe aisa lagtha hai ki meri koi girlfriend ho sakthi hai??
Khanak: kya pata woh tho London hai (shrugs)
Shaan (smiles) : aisa kuch nahi tha Khanak…. And they continue to talk about their favourites and their interests, until both feels sleepy. Both of them walks to their respective rooms and sleep takes over…
A beautiful morning, Shaan wakes up, gets freshen and moves towards dining hall, searching for a person in the whole house, but she's no where to be seen, Aayush is near the dining hall with dadi…
Shaan: good morning Aayush, dadi… (smiles)
Aayush: good morning uncle…
Shaan: aapki mom kaha hai?? (slowly into his ears) Aayush moves towards his ears.
Aayush: mom chali gayi…
Shaan: chali gayi (loudly)
Dadi: fikar mat kar, hospital gayi hai, unki senior ke call aaya tha, issliye chaligayi…Shaan smiles at the indication, eats his breakfast and leaves to hospital… In the hospital, both of them are busy, he was told that, she was in OT, he had appointments lined up,he waited till 3 for her, but she was not free, he left for his clinic. He returns to his home, hoping she would have returned. He enters and he's told that she's alredy left with Aayush, Shaan is upset. He enters his room, takes his phone and calls her. She picks it up in fourth ring… Not allowing her to speak.
Shaan: Khanak tum pagal ho hogayi ho, couldn't you wait for me pata hai subah se try kar raho tumse milne ki aur baat karne ki, aur tum ho ki….
Khanak: Shaan control, I was busy, pata hai mujhe lunch ke liye bhi time nahi mili, that operation took a long time (exhausted)
Shaan: did u eat something?? Can I bring something for you?? (concerned)
Khanak (smiles): thanks Shaan, but I ate…
Shaan: iss haalat mein bhi, you wanted to cook, couldn't you eat at home… (scolds)
Khanak: Shaan chill, woh  Sarala aunty ne khaana diya..
Shaan: now who is this Sarala aunty???
Khanak: she's my neighbor, forget it!! When did you return from clinic??
Shaan: bus abhi aaya!!
Khanak: nice toh abb jao, dinner khalo, aur so jao…
Shaan (smiles): you want to get rid of me!!
Khanak: arrey nahi baba, its just that im totally exhausted…
Shaan: just kidding!!(smiles) Aayush so gaya??
Khanak: woh tho kab ka so gaya, even he was exhausted, shaayad zyaada khel liya!!
Shaan: good!! Ok then good night Khanak!! And sleep tight!!

Shaan: hey Khanak !! andar nahi bulaaogi (coolly)He enters the house, Khanak is thinking may be its her dream, she pinches herself, no this is truth!!
Khanak: Shaan!! What are you doing here?? (following him, he's checking out the house)
Shaan: Aayush kaha hai??  As on cue, Aayush comes out, both of them greets, Aayush moves out telling he's going out to play… Shaan coolly sits in living hall, this time Khanak is confused…

Shaan: you didn't tell me that you like parantha…
Khanak: I didn't tell because Im fine with it, its not that I love it!

Khanak: thanks (fake smile) Shaan walks up to her… He is about to ask her, whether she needed any help, but her ladline rings, she's got one connection in kitchen, she switches on the loudspeaker.
Khanak: hello?? (Shaan is standing next to her)
Caller: Hey Kandy!! (Khanak is super excited hearing the voice)

Dhruv: San mein hoga… lekin Mumbai mein toh nahi hai…
Khanak: kya matlab?? Are  you in Mumbai?? (all perked up)
Dhruv: yes meri, sweet si pyaari si Khanak, abb darwaza toh khol de, nahi toh thodke andar aana hoga (listening the word 'meri', Shaan's anger is raising)
Hearing that statement, she quickly washes her hand and runs towards her door, Shaan slowly follows her. When she opened the door, she's greeted by balloons, and a good looking guy, singing happy birthday song for her…. He's carrying Aayush with him, Raj is present with him and her neighbors…
Dhruv comes in front of her, puts Aayush down…
Dhruv: I told you, this time I'll be with you for your birthday…
Khanak's eyes filled with tears, she's happy to see her childhood friend back, he was the support for her when she had lost her family… She hugs him, unmindful of the gaze… (friendly hug)
